You can’t stretch your arms without running into a multiverse these days. Whether it’s the Marvel Cinematic Universe crossing over with movies released ten years before Iron Man was a twinkle in anyone’s eye, or Star Trek making the word Kelvin mean a lot more than a temperature unit, nothing can be just one thing anymore. The fear is that folks will lose interest if you don’t grab their attention across multiple formats and spectrums. We need countless prequels and spinoffs and requels and whatever the hell Beyond The Spider-Verse is going to be.

Speaking of Beyond, Beyond Meat is starting their own multiverse called the “Phytosphere”. This new product portfolio is designed to make “the superpowers of plants” more accessible. (And you thought all that multiverse talk was wholly off-topic.) Four new Phytosphere products are launching today; let’s dig into what these plant-based powerhouses are all about.
Beyond Starmatter Protein Powder
This plant-based protein powder is packed with nutrients, fiber, probiotics, biotin, vitamins, minerals, and even more tricky spelling-bee words I’m sure I’m deficient in. Every serving contains 20 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. This protein powder is launching in four flavors, perfect for blending into smoothies and shakes: Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Banana, and Plain; a fifth “Golden Latte” flavor is launching soon as well.
Beyond Starcut Jerky Bars
Beyond’s first step into the savory jerky space (in a long time) may be the development this meat-alternative brand’s fans have been praying for. This meat-free jerky bar is made with plant protein and mycelium, packing 17 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber into every bar with no cholesterol or added sugar. These protein snacks will launch in three flavors: Asada Style, Classic Dill, and Spicy Southwest BBQ.
Beyond Veggie Burgers
While everyone associates Beyond with scientifically impressive replicas of classic meat products, the brand is now launching a burger patty for folks who aren’t looking for that meaty experience in their non-meat entree options. This new veggie patty is made with over 10 fruits and vegetables, legumes, seeds, plant protein, and more. Each patty contains 12 grams of protein, 6 grams of fiber, and no cholesterol. Longtime veggie patty enjoyers will recognize the two flavors Beyond’s new veggie patties are launching in: Spiced Chickpea and Chipotle Black Bean.
Beyond Immerse Sparkling Protein Beverages
Lastly, Beyond is stepping into the relatively new sparkling protein drink space with their new Immerse line. Each can of Beyond Immerse contains 20 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, electrolytes, and antioxidants–a murderer’s row of functional ingredients. Beyond isn’t rocking the boat with the flavors launching in this line either; Immerse is launching in Peach Mango, Strawberry Lemonade, and Cherry Berry.
Where can I check out the Phytosphere product line?
Right now, it looks like these products are available exclusively through BeyondPlantProtein.com. I imagine these online sales will determine which products make it to larger retail. It’s gotta be hard to get major retailers to bite without some data to back up what this particular crowd wants.
