You can buy some normal things at Big Lots—paper towels, cat litter, a new plunger—but that’s not what a trip to Big Lots is about to me. When I walk through the aisles, I’m just waiting to spot something weird. This is very much the case when it comes to the Big Lots drinks section. On a recent trip to Big Lots, I spotted no fewer than seven bevs that I previously had no idea existed. It’s a curious person’s dream come true. If you up for a little liquid adventure, make these drinks part of your next Big Lots haul.
- Jelly Belly Sparkling Water Juicy Pear / Birthday Cake
-
Do I think a Juicy Pear- or Birthday Cake-flavored Jelly Belly sparkling water is going to be my new favorite drink? Probably not. But these weird-ass Big Lots drinks are conversation starters. Keep them in your fridge so everyone who comes over knows you’re a wild and wacky guy.
- Victor Allen Raspberry Mocha Iced Latte Drink
-
Raspberry and chocolate typically go together pretty nicely, so who am I to say this raspberry mocha iced latte I saw at Big Lots won’t hit the spot? For $1.29, you kinda can’t afford not to find out.
- V8 Energy Strawberry Banana Energy Drink
-
If you’re swinging by Big Lots, energy drinks should be on your shopping list. They have all kinds of wild options, including this who-knew V8-branded variety. Strawberry-banana is a good flavor combo in juice form, but does it work as an energy drink? Only one way to find out!
- ICEE Blue Raspberry Slush Pouch
-
I’ve had these Icee slush pouches before and while I’ll admit they don’t taste like the real deal (obviously), they’re worth adding to your Big Lots haul two reasons: They scratch that ICEE itch we all have every couple of months (right?) and the novelty is just irresistible. Live a little!
- Ooh La Lemin Peach Lemonade
-
I’ve never had peach lemonade, but if the only thing standing between me and trying it for the first time is a mere $1.79 at the Big Lots checkout, you know I’m scrounging up that dough. Plus, this stuff only has 30 calories a can—there’s no reason not to try it.
- Margaritaville Margarita Drink Mix, 6-pack
-
Do drink mix packets belong on a list of the best Big Lots drinks? Debatable, but I couldn’t leave these out. Dump one of these into a bottle of water and you have something that approximates a Margaritaville margarita (sans booze). Ever want to guzzle a margarita at work? Or how about at the gym? Now you can. Instant buy.
- RYSE Fuel Sunny D Energy Drink
-
I grew up on Sunny D. It wasn’t actually juice, but it seemed healthy enough and that was good enough for my mom. The only logical evolutionary trajectory for a weird drink like Sunny D is an energy drink version, so I’m not at all surprised that this exists. Add this to the list of Big Lots energy drinks that I’m buying for nostalgia (and sheer morbid curiosity).
