Blue Bunny Is Releasing an All New Product

We like Blue Bunny. Yeah, we said it! It may not be the biggest-name ice cream brand out there, but it’s got a lot of things going for it. If you want a cheap sundae cone, it can hit the spot, and its holiday ice cream is, if we do say so ourselves, some of the best out there. And now, apparently, it makes board games too!

Talk about a left-field move, right? Well, we’re into any brand that decides to do something totally different, and so Blu’s Sundae Surprise is right up our street. Hop aboard (hehe, sorry, couldn’t resist) while I tell you all about it.

Blu’s Sundae Surprise: Fun For All The Family

Blu’s Sundae Surprise is the all-new board game from Blue Bunny, which will be available from May 1. It arrives alongside the announcement of the brand’s new mascot, Blu, a modernized version of the long-time bunny character used to promote its goodies. It should come as no surprise that Blu is Blue. The ice cream’s called Blue Bunny, for goodness’ sake.

Well, every revamped mascot needs an adventure to go on, and Blue Bunny is providing it with its board game, which can be bought by going to BlueBunnyBoardGame.com (although it’s currently listed as out of stock, but we would imagine that’s just because the big sale day hasn’t arrived yet). Upon purchase, you’ll have to wait a little while for the board game to ship, but by early June, it should be heading out to the lucky customers. We say lucky because this is a limited-time item, guys – so game collectors need to get on it, stat. It costs just under $20, too, so it’s not too pricey.

And…What Do You Do In The Game?

Good question. According to its website, the aim of Blu’s Sundae Surprise is to “build the ultimate sundae through playful prompts, fun twists, and friendly competition, collecting ingredients to create your one-of-a-kind frozen dessert masterpiece.” Essentially, it looks as though you move your pieces around the board and, as you land on certain sections and pick up cards, you can add to a bowl in front of you, creating the best ice cream in town. Sadly, that ice cream is not real, but we would hope that you’ve got one on the go as you play. It’s only polite.

The game is designed for anyone aged 6 and above, so your kiddos can get in on the fun. To be honest, it feels like the kind of thing that might not be that fun without little kids to play with, given the clear younger focus here. But hey. If you’re bored with your monopoly and wine nights, here’s a fresh new option for ya.
