Okay, folks, listen. I promise: In a few weeks, all of this World Cup food collab talk will stop. It’ll shrink into the background for another four years, and we’ll all have a bit of respite from it. But we’re in the eye of the storm right now, and we have to push through, or whatever you do when you’re in the eye of a storm. Bear with us. We’re almost there.

But also, we’re having fun seeing what all of these brands are doing, so let’s keep on going! In the last 24 hours alone, we’ve covered Costco’s collectible World Cup tequila and 7-Eleven’s FanLand experience – and now, it’s time for us to talk about what Buffalo Wild Wings has planned. Spoiler alert: It’s got an international vibe.

Buffalo Wild Wings’ New Menu: Goal!

B-Dubs dropped the news of its Matchday Menu yesterday in a press release, and while we don’t want to pick favorites, this is…one of my favorites of the World Cup releases. Maybe that’s just because of my taste in food and cocktails, but also, it feels like Buffalo Wild Wings is striking a sweet spot between creativity and familiarity here.

How are they doing that, you ask? Well: BWW is offering six new dipping sauces, two new cocktails, and a couple of other extras as part of its Matchday Menu. These dipping sauces are inspired by countries, regions, and flavors around the world, and they are:

  • Peri Peri – inspired by South Africa, this sauce combines fiery pepper notes with garlic and creaminess.
  • Yuzu Wasabi – an Asian-inspired sauce with a citrus base and a burst of wasabi.
  • Maple Sweet Chili – BWW’s Canadian offer, mixing sugary maple notes with sweet chili. Swicy vibes!
  • Sweet Curry – a touch unexpectedly, this one is billed as inspired by Europe by the restaurant, with molasses, mustard, and curry flavors.
  • Smoky Elote – Buffalo Wild Wings’ Mexican-inspired sauce mixed with chipotle, lime, and roasted corn.
  • Creamy Chimichurri – and finally, a South American offering, which appears to be a combo of down-the-line chimichurri with a creamy element.

These sauces will be available in dip flights, samplers, and bundle combos.

And The Cocktails?

Yes, yes, the cocktails! As mentioned, Buffalo Wild Wings will be serving two of them: The first is a Red Card Punch, which combines coconut rum, strawberry, pineapple juice, and lime, with a strawberry sugar rim and a red card trinket (fun). The second, a Yellow Card Margarita, has Casamigos reposado tequila, Cointreau, mango, vanilla, lime sour, fresh lime, and – we’re almost there! – a Grand Marnier float. It’s topped with a Tajin rim and a yellow card trinket. I have to say, both of these sound way better than its recent Espresso Protini.

On top of all that, the restaurant is running Blazin’ Knockout Challenge, where customers can win a BWW soccer scarf if they finish 10 of its Blazin’ Knockout Wings in less than five minutes. And, to save you from having to get up during the games, you can grab a 100-ounce Michelob Ultra Beer Tower.

And when can you get all of this stuff? June 11, people. That’s when the new menu lands, right in time for the first game. Save us a seat. And a wing. And a dipping sauce.
