Is anyone else feeling like it’s time to start planning World Cup parties for our most anticipated matches? Maybe it’s just me… but with all three North American soccer teams qualifying for the FIFA World Cup™―and 45 other countries’ soccer teams coming to play here―I think just about anybody in North America can find an excuse to turn the upcoming matches into a good time. Even Costco is here to help get the party going with its limited-edition release of collectible soccer-ball-shaped tequilas.

The World Cup™ Connection
There haven’t been any matches in the FIFA World Cup 2026™ yet, but many people, like Reddit users u/ClearWinter2840 and u/MixMango, have already scored with their Costco tequila finds. The company Score released their limited-edition tequilas for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ ahead of this year’s tournament in three color variations to represent the host countries: Mexico, Canada and the United States.
The novelty containers are made from hand crafted porcelain, shaped and hand-decorated like a soccer ball. Each of the colorways have the FIFA World Cup 2026™ logo embossed on the front of the bottle and the tequila reposado inside comes in at 750ml with 40% ABV. The single distillery, seven-year blue agave tequila reposado comes out to between $69 and $100 depending on location in the U.S.
Are They Worth It?
Sure, the bottle is impressive and hits the theme right on the nose; but, for the hefty price tag, is this tequila really worth it?
Online creators Loryn Powell and Mr. Suave Agave were able to snag the collector’s item from their local Costco and had high impressions of the presentation and packaging. Being a novelty item, the tequila itself wasn’t bad either. Powell noted that it was smooth with no aggressive sting after drinking, and Agave rated it 75/100.
Both recommended the tequila overall considering the upcoming tournament but had issues with the awkward pour spout on the bottom of the bottle. That said, it’ll look great on the shelf.
Overall, it sounds like this tequila is for those of us who are a bit less picky with our tequila and love a good theme. And if you yourself don’t love tequila or soccer, then perhaps the best use for this is as a gift to the biggest soccer fan in your life, or the person hosting you during the most anticipated matches.
