If you didn’t know, Buldak makes potato chips now. Ramen-flavored potato chips. They can be a little tricky to find, but they’ve been spotted at places like Target, Amazon, World Market, and H-Mart. We got our hands on one of their most popular chip flavors, Quattro Cheese, to try these elusive spicy ramen chips for ourselves.

It’s worth noting that I am also the biggest Buldak ramen fan on the Sporked team, and that Quattro Cheese is our #1 favorite Buldak ramen flavor to date. So you’re in good hands with this review, okay? Now let’s get into it.

Pros: Sigh… I love them. They have a subtle, almost BBQ sweetness that reminds me more of Buldak’s Carbonara ramen broth than their Quattro Cheese, mixed with savory umami chicken flavor that really hits on the finish. I think they’re very unique. Even the potato chip quality is nice; it has a soft, even, delicate crunch.
Cons: Call me crazy Susi pesto, but I don’t find them very cheesy, which is a bit of a let down. (But they are extremely flavorful.) Also, these will be too spicy for some people, and that includes myself. I am the person watching Buldak ramen tiktoks and thumbs down-ing anyone who comments “they aren’t even that spicy” with a crying face emoji, like the rest of us are nuts for not using the full hot sauce packet. If this is you, go see a gastroenterologist. Immediately. I am so unbelievably serious. You’re doing irreparable damage to your stomach and I won’t stand for it.
Verdict: If you’re expecting a cheesy chip, that’s not what this is. But it does taste like Buldak ramen, and it is unbelievably addictive. Every chip hurts so good. Keep it up, Buldak.
