Boxed Buldak Mac n’ Cheese Has Been Spotted—Reddit Has Proof

If there’s one thing you need to know about Buldak, it’s that it will always, always, do the most. We say that lovingly: We’ve got a lot of admiration for how this ramen brand has burst beyond the confines of its standard noodle-shaped fare, and has started to produce items we wouldn’t have expected a couple of years ago. We’ve not got Buldak instant tteokbokki, Buldak Quattro Cheese potato chips, a Buldak Double Down from KFC, Buldak Dynamite Sweet and Sour Chicken from Panda Express, and Coachella Buldak collabs with loads of different food companies. This is a brand that is buuuusy, guys.

And now, it’s adding yet another product to its roster. We’ve got Buldak Mac and Cheese, which has been spotted in the wild and duly posted on Reddit. With a picture and everything. 

Buldak Mac and Cheese: We’ve Finally Made It

Evidence of Buldak’s Mac and Cheese appeared on Reddit yesterday, with a slightly blurry pic of someone holding a box of sweet corn-flavored Buldak mac. Now, in the age of AI, obviously we doubt anything that we see, but we also feel like this is probably the real deal. However, the original poster then went on to give some more context. “My husband works at Walmart and showed me because I am a Buldak fiend,” they said. 

Then, another person underneath this comment posted a screenshot of a picture from a Walmart Facebook page, which shows an employee next to boxes of this mac and cheese, and a carbonara-flavored version. Here’s the picture. This thing is real, people!

The Fans Are Rejoicing

Beyond these pictures, and some other commenters reporting that it’s started appearing in their local Walmarts, we don’t have a lot of information on this product. We do know that a box costs about $7, which obviously isn’t cheap (but imagine all the flavor you get for that money, yum). However, it has not appeared on the Walmart website in any form yet, nor is it on the Buldak website. This thing is completely and utterly brand new. 

It’s not like Buldak hasn’t been working towards this for a while, though. Last year, it posted a blog about how to upgrade your mac and cheese on its website, which, as expected, involved adding Buldak sauce to your dish. There are also a ton of unofficial Buldak mac and cheese recipes out there. So it’s clearly had its finger on the pulse for a while here, and it knows exactly what it’s doing. We do not doubt that this will be a smash, and it’s a nice addition to the boxed mac and cheese products that are already out there.
