Listen, folks. At Sporked, we’re discerning when it comes to ice cream. Our taste testers have tried a lot of products, and they know how to separate good from bad. So when we announce that an ice cream bar is not just good, not just great, but maybe the best ice cream bar ever, you know it’s legit.

That’s exactly what happened last October, when we tried the new Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, and 100 Grand ice cream bars – and proclaimed that the Butterfinger bar was a pure 10/10. The other two weren’t bad at all, either. And now, all three of those bars are going nationwide, so everyone can experience what we experienced. Here’s what we know.
What Are These Ice Cream Bars?
Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, and 100 Grand ice cream bars are, as you might expect, a trio of frozen versions of the three classic candies. Made by Ferrero North America with Wells Enterprises, these three ice cream bars first started appearing a couple of years back, but up until now, they’ve been blink-and-you’ll-miss-them products that have only shown up in select stores.
They’ve sort of become lore, and our taste-test only confirmed what we had suspected for a long time: That they’re very good ice creams. The Butterfinger one, in particular, is a bit of a masterpiece, with the updated version of the former product having a tender, smooth interior and a delightful crunch. It may well be better than the real thing, people. The 100 Grand and Baby Ruth bars, meanwhile, both go big on crunch, and while the chewiness of a classic Baby Ruth is missing, they’re still both great.
And They’re Now Available Everywhere, You Say?
We do – and they are! According to a press release, these new ice cream bars are now officially being launched, and you can track them down in frozen aisles everywhere. Each flavor comes in its own pack of six, and they’ll be priced at around the $5.99 mark.
Interestingly, despite these ice cream bars being real for quite some time, Ferrero North America and Wells Enterprises are treating them as brand-new (which, we guess, for a lot of customers, they are). With the release of these new products, they’re also embracing and promoting the textural aspects of each bar, which they say go beyond what you’d typically expect. “The ice cream bar category has long been defined by simplicity, including smooth coatings, uniform textures, and straightforward formats,” Wells Enterprises’ CMO Isabella Chia said in the press release. “With Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, and 100 Grand, we didn’t just translate a candy bar into a frozen format. We engineered each bar from the inside out, starting with the texture that made those candies iconic and building up from there with real ice cream and quality ingredients that deliver on every bite.”
Well, they definitely delivered for us – and if they do for you too, we wanna hear about it.
