There are still a few days left before summer officially starts feeling like a distant memory. So Voodoo Doughnut would like to make sure nobody wastes them.

The doughnut chain is teaming up with Captain Morgan for a new limited-edition treat called the Piña Colada Paradise and it sounds like a tropical vacation drink decided to squeeze itself onto a doughnut.
This Donut Is Loaded
The Piña Colada Paradise does not exactly believe in minimalism. It starts with piña colada-flavored frosting, then gets a strawberry frosting drizzle. There is also pineapple fluff and toasted coconut on top, followed by Captain Morgan’s familiar crossed-swords logo.
So there’s pineapple. There’s coconut. There’s strawberry. And there’s frosting. What more could you ask for?
The combination makes sense for a donut inspired by Captain Morgan’s Sliced Colada Variety Pack. That drink lineup includes Piña Colada, Strawberry Colada, Mango Colada, and Passionfruit Colada flavors, so the new donut is clearly leaning into the fruity, coconut-heavy theme.
A Very Short Stay
The limited-edition Piña Colada Paradise doughnut costs $4.50, and will be available for one week only, from August 24th through August 30th, at nine Voodoo Doughnut shops in Colorado, Florida and Texas.
Colorado gets three participating shops. The donut will be available at 1520 E Colfax Ave. and 98 S Broadway in Denver, plus 3210 Arapahoe Ave. in Boulder.
Florida gets one location: 2401 NW 2nd Ave. in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood.
Texas gets five locations. Austin has shops at 212 E 6th St. and 5408 Burnet Rd., while Houston gets 3715 Washington Ave. The donut will also be available at 400 E Houston St. in San Antonio and 1806 Greenville Ave., Suite 120, in Dallas.
So, yes, this is one of those limited-edition releases where location matters quite a bit.
This Could Be A Hit
Voodoo Doughnut has never been the shy type when it comes to doughnuts. The chain’s menu already includes plenty of colorful, over-the-top creations, so a donut covered in tropical frosting, pineapple fluff, and toasted coconut feels right at home.
And the Piña Colada Paradise certainly looks like it knows what job it has. It’s sweet. It’s tropical, and it’s covered in pineapple fluff.
The only real problem is the timing. Summer is running out and this donut is leaving even faster. The Piña Colada Paradise arrives August 24th and disappears August 30th for $4.50 at nine participating Voodoo Doughnut locations.
