New Carrot Cake Lindor Truffles Are Coming

It’s the third week of February, which is a scary time for candy aisle regulars. As we speak, beautiful displays of vibrant pink hearts and cartoon cupids are being torn down without hesitation and replaced with *shudder* normal stuff. Just know that I’m holding space for you this week should you find yourself wandering down the candy aisle, staring blankly at the uniform shelves once again bare of any alluring adornment. Luckily there is a silver lining: Easter candy is coming soon—including new Easter chocolate from a seasonal chocolate expert. Lindt is kicking off the Easter candy season with brand new Limited Edition Lindor Carrot Cake Truffles.

Carrot cake truffles? What does that even mean?!

The new Lindor Carrot Cake Truffles consist of a white chocolate shell (haters beware) with a smooth carrot cake truffle filling. Of course, there is always reason for skepticism when a chocolate brand goes for a non-chocolate flavor, but I think these truffles have a fighting chance at making it into a few Easter baskets for two reasons. First, the filling, if flavored right, could easily mimic the delicious experience of biting into a cream cheese frosting forward bite of carrot cake. Second, white chocolate pairs extremely well with carrot cake (white choco-haters, I’m begging you to chill).

Where can you buy these new Lindor truffles?

Lindt Lindor Carrot Cake Truffles are available exclusively at Target in 6 oz bags retailing for $5.99. As Lindt loves to remind us, the standard for their chocolates is that they’re completely irresistible, so if these turn out to be anything less than, I suggest you hand write a letter to the Lindt Master Chocolatiers and tell them what’s really good. Just pretty please don’t forget to send me a copy if you do, I 100% need to see that letter.
