When I think back to my favorite lunchtime sides or mid-morning snacks during elementary and middle school, it was always one crunchy snack: Cheez-Its.

Cheez-Its have been synonymous with snacking for decades, and they feature the salty, crunchy, and cheesy flavor profile you want in a bite-sized treat. Now, there’s a new spin on this classic that’s joining the already-extensive list of Cheez-It choices and it’s even more kid-friendly than other iterations—especially that recent Coors Light collab.
Kids (or, more appropriately, the parents who buy their groceries and pack their lunches) can now enjoy two new kinds of Cheez-Its thanks to a special limited-time variety pack.
Cheez-It Is Changing Up Its Usual Squares
The iconic orange Cheez-It square is looking a little bit different these days. That’s because those simple squares have introduced a fresh, school-inspired appearance: they’re now emblazoned with letters.
Cheez-It Letters are the newest Cheez-It to hit stores and they come in two different varieties. Cheez-It Original Letters is the same oh-so-cheesy Cheez-It you already know and love, just with the ABCs imprinted on each cracker. The second variety, Cheez-It Extra Cheesy Letters, also features letters and packs an extra helping of cheesiness into every bite.
Both of these new learning-focused additions are bundled together in the Cheez-It Letters Back to School Variety Pack, which includes 12 one-ounce pouches (six in Original, six in Extra Cheesy).
In addition to being perfectly lunch-ready in these small pouches, Cheez-It Letters are a great pick for little learners… or maybe adults who like playing with their food. The 26 letters on these cheesy crackers are perfect for playing, forming words, or inventing wholly new ways to enjoy your Cheez-Its.
When—And Where—To Find Cheez-It Letters
This new back-to-school inspired spin on classic Cheez-Its is already available in stores nationwide. So, the next time you’re shopping for snacks, you can give these alphabet ones a try in place of plain ol’ Cheez-Its.
Boxes of Cheez-Its Letters have joined the cracker lineup on shelves at stores like Target and Metro Market. If you’re interested in stocking up for school lunches or after-sports snacks (or want a few on hand to pack in your own grown-up lunch), variety packs containing up to 36 individual bags have also been spotted at warehouse retailers like BJ’s Wholesale Club.
Just note these special Cheez-Its aren’t sticking around permanently (at least not yet). They’re an offering created just for back-to-school season, and the variety pack will only be available for a limited time.
