While some fast food chains have seemingly been unable to pause for breath in 2026 (we’re looking at you, Taco Bell), Chick-fil-A has taken a bit of a slower approach. Don’t get us wrong, it’s been busy – its new sandwich, made with a buttermilk ranch bun, had us talking back in March, and its teasing of a new restaurant concept was another interesting move. Generally speaking, though, it’s kept things at a moderate pace.

To be honest, we appreciate that; too many new product releases can be overwhelming, after all, and sometimes it’s better to stick to the classics. And, incidentally, that’s exactly what Chick-fil-A’s just done with its new announcement. We’ve got some returning faves on offer, people. Let’s discuss.
Newstalgia: The Word On Everyone’s Lips
Chick-fil-A has dubbed 2026 the year of “Newstalgia,” in which it’s focusing not on trying to reinvent the wheel, but on giving new (and returning) customers a taste of former favorites. In a recent press release, it showed us exactly what this means for June. Chick-fil-A is bringing back one of its sandwiches and a few much-loved drinks, just in time for summer.
In full, its returning line-up looks like this:
- Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich: A spicy affair, made with pimento cheese, mild pickled jalapeños, and a drizzle of honey, with your choice of Original or Spicy filet.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Beverages: A range of drinks flavored with pineapple and dragonfruit, which can be ordered with Lemonade, Frosted Lemonade, Iced Tea, Sunjoy, and now, Sprite.
- Peach Treats: Its Peach Milkshake and Peach Frosted Lemonade make a comeback this summer.
All of these items drop on June 8 and will be available through the summer.
Cow Appreciation Day
On top of the remounting of its fan-favorite foods, Chick-fil-A has also announced that it’s got a key event in its calendar returning. Cow Appreciation Day is back! On July 14, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. local time, if you go to a participating store in your “best cow-inspired spots and attire” (so sayeth its press release), you’ll be rewarded with a free entrée. Kids will also get a new Cow Kart toy to take home with ‘em.
This year marks the first time that Cow Appreciation Day has run in seven years, and it’s all in celebration of the Chick-fil-A Cows – and, Chick-fil-A says, serves to introduce them to a whole new audience. Dressing up as a cow and getting a free sandwich in return? I can definitely think of worse ways to spend my day.
