Cinnabon’s Newest Treat Is Your Sign to Get to a Mall ASAP

Like all smart chains, Cinnabon has been going hard on its retail items over the last few years, in a bid to capture customers not just when they’re in its bakeries, but in the supermarket. The amount of Cinnabon products now available is, quite simply, wild, and it’s been releasing everything from iced coffees to popcorn seasoning (yes, popcorn seasoning) at a rate of knots. Call us old-fashioned, but is it too much to ask that fast food joints focus a little more on their core offer of, y’know, fast food?

Apparently not—and it seems our prayers have been answered. Cinnabon’s just refreshed its menu with its all-new Strawberry Cheesecake Topped Bon, a twist on its iconic cinnamon rolls that have left us drooling. Looks like Cinnabon will be taking all of our money over the next few weeks, then. 

Strawberries, Cheesecake, and Cinnamon Rolls: The Holy Trinity

Cinnabon’s Strawberry Cheesecake Topped Bon does what Cinnabon does best, and amps it up. It starts with its standard cinnamon rolls and adds on a smear of cheesecake frosting, combining it with a swirl of strawberry purée. Crunch is added in the form of streusel topping (because everything is better with crunch). You can grab the Strawberry Cheesecake Topped Bon in a few different forms, including as BonBites or MiniBons, as well as in its Classic configuration. 

Like all delicious things, though, the Strawberry Cheesecake Topped Bon is not destined to stick around forever. This menu item is only available until the start of summer, but that’s quite a loose date and some Cinnabons are apparently pushing that to its extreme: You may only have until the start of May to try this one out. That’s still a good couple of months, but time flies, people!

Cinnabon Fans, Rejoice

Cinnabon has wasted no time shifting into fifth gear promoting the Strawberry Cheesecake Topped Bon, and its social media manager is working overtime to keep it relevant. Over on Instagram, it followed up the new flavor announcement with a Heated Rivalry-themed post, styling the Bon as a hockey puck. “Everything i know about hockey i learned two months ago idk,” the post’s caption read, followed by the hashtag #stillatthecottage. You and us both, Cinnabon.

Its marketing tactics seem to be working, though, and fans are very excited about this new menu item. “This looks absolutely delicious,” stated one comment on said Instagram post, with others saying how much they wanted to try it for Valentine’s Day. This picture-perfect dessert would have definitely fit the bill for the season of love, but luckily, you’ve got another few months to sample it before Cinnabon rips it from your hands (and, we’d imagine, inevitably brings it back next year, if it does well).
