Circle K’s July 4 Punch Is Pretty Patriotic

We haven’t exactly been short of July 4 drink offers this year. Is that any real surprise, though? It’s America’s 250th, after all; everyone was always gonna go pretty big. The majority of said drinks offers, though, have already dropped (as you’d expect, given that July 4 is tomorrow): Dunkin’ dropped its July 4 menu last week, Dairy Queen debuted a new July 4 float a few days ago, and dear old Circle K, the subject of this very article, announced a Polar Pop deal back in June. Yeah, it was June 30 (and therefore, Tuesday), but still June!

But Circle K’s not done yet! The convenience store has just hit us with an announcement of another exclusive July 4 drink – and this one’s a collab. Let’s dive in. Grab your straw.

Circle K x AriZona Sparkling Patriotic Punch

Circle K has just announced it will be celebrating the 4th with AriZona Beverages. The two companies have teamed up on AriZona Sparkling Patriotic Punch, a limited-edition item (in case there was any doubt) that will be available exclusively at Circle K stores. It’s the latest in a line of Circle K exclusives and partnerships that have seen the chain bring new options to its menu and shelves: Earlier this month, it debuted a full menu inspired by Butterfinger, and it’s very much in the habit at the moment of working with other brands. We love collaboration!

Anyway – let’s talk about this drink. AriZona Sparkling Patriotic Punch is, according to the press release accompanying this new drink, “a refreshing blend of grape, cherry and pineapple juices, all finished with a light, sparkling lift – the ‘star-spangled sparkle.’” Love that patriotic tie-in. AriZona Sparkling Patriotic Punch will come in one of AriZona’s Big Cans, and it’s available now. In fact, it’s been available for a minute; Circle K has just given us the press release, but it looks as though it’s been in stores for a week or two now. But hey, if you’re struggling for last-minute July 4 drinks and like fruit punches with a patriotic bent, here’s your sign to try it. 

Should I Try It, Though? Is It Good?

Well…opinions vary slightly. A couple of people who have sampled the punch have reported their experiences on Reddit. On the positive side, people like Sparkling Patriotic Punch’s balanced nature. “The grape notes come through first, while the pineapple rounds everything out, without any one flavor completely taking over,” said one person, before stating that it was “easy to enjoy.” On the flip side, though, another drinker said that it was too sweet for them – so don’t expect anything subtle here.
