This Ice Cream Brand Just Released A Collection Inspired By Edgar Allan Poe

I’m always on the lookout for new ice cream flavors and innovations. Last week, I got my hands on a brand that added even more chunks to its delightful pints and now Clementine’s is stepping up its game with a new collection inspired by a beloved writer and poet Edgar Allan Poe. And yes, the names are exactly as delightfully dramatic as you’d expect.

Clementine’s Ice Cream

If you’re unfamiliar with Clementine’s Ice Cream, the brand originated in St. Louis and is beloved by customers because it’s all natural, made with local dairy, and has more butterfat than your average ice cream. In other words, this means it’s more creamy than other ice cream and frozen dairy desserts you’d find at the grocery store. 

The Edgar Allan Poe collection consists of four flavors all of which have poetic names: 

• Midnight Dreary: Midnight dark chocolate ice cream with ribbons of raspberry jam. Dark chocolate and raspberry? Poe would probably approve.
• NevermOrange: An elevated dreamsicle flavored with blood orange and silky olive oil. This one sounds like a serious upgrade from the orange creamsicle of your childhood.
• Thing of Evil: Non-dairy caramel-miso coconut ice cream with crumbles of gluten-free chocolate sandwich cookies. Caramel, miso, coconut AND cookie crumbles? There is a lot happening here, in the best possible way.
• The Raven: Gothic blueberry muffin. Short, mysterious and very on theme.

Not looking to get adventurous? Clementine’s also has fall flavors on its roster to get your hands on this season: 

• Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake: Classic St. Louis-style gooey butter cake swirled in a pumpkin spice ice cream.  If you’ve never had gooey butter cake in ice cream form, this feels like a pretty compelling place to start.
• Ashleigh’s Apple Cranberry Pie: Cinnamon ice cream with an apple cranberry pie swirl.
• Crypt Keeper’s Stash: Milk chocolate ice cream with a salted caramel swirl and cookie dough bites. (This is available on Halloween only.) 

Where To Get The Collection

You’ll find these flavors in Clementine’s Ice Cream parlors in Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas. So if you’re lucky enough to live near one, this is your sign to start planning a very ice cream-centric outing.
