Our Honest Review of New Coca-Cola Orange Cream

Y’all, we might have hurt Coca-Cola’s feelings with how we all reacted to Coke Spiced last year. They were so proud of their new permanent flavor and consumers just ripped it to pieces. Yes, it was simultaneously spicy and boring and yes, I would have organized a celebratory parade if they’d just brought back Coca-Cola Starlight instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. But still, I don’t know a single person who had something nice to say about Spiced.

This time around, Coke is playing it super safe by basically bringing back an old flavor. While Coca-Cola Orange Cream isn’t the exact same formula as Coca-Cola Orange Vanilla (launched in bottles and cans in 2019, discontinued in 2022), it’s obviously going for a similar flavor profile. Let’s find out if Melted Dreamsicle Coke makes a splash in 2025.

Coca-Cola Orange Cream

New Coke Flavor!

Coca-Cola Orange Cream

Pros: Some of Coke’s stranger variants have tasted like a whole new soda rather than “Coke plus whatever,” but this new Coca-Cola flavor absolutely has the Coca-Cola base flavor. This tastes like you stirred a Coke with a frozen dreamsicle. It sounds obvious, but this is made for ice cream floats.

Cons: This new Coke flavor isn’t the most exciting concept in the world. Between the original Orange Vanilla Coke and the Dreamworld Creations flavor, creamy orange Coke is pretty comfortable territory. I definitely like it, but I’m still reaching for a Cherry Coke first.

Coca-Cola Orange Cream Zero Sugar

New Coke Zero Flavor!

Coca-Cola Orange Cream Zero Sugar

Pros: Coca-Cola’s Zero Sugar formulas consistently impress me. (I even rated the Zero Sugar version of Sprite Chill higher than the regular version.) Even though this one disappointed me for reasons you’ll soon read, I still prefer this new Zero Sugar Coke flavor to pretty much any diet soda on shelves today.

Cons: Coca-Cola Zero Sugar is one of the best “big soda” zero sugar variants we have, but this one tastes different. I don’t know how they did it, but this tastes like Diet Coke. I don’t have the ultra-common Diet Coke addiction that would make that a positive, but your mileage may vary. If you’re looking for Orange Cream Diet Coke, I’ve got great news for you.

Where can I find this new Coke flavor for myself?

As of this writing, this new Coca-Cola flavor should be available everywhere Coca-Cola products are sold en masse. Different regions’ Coke distributors work at different speeds, but you’ll definitely see this hit shelves near you in the next few weeks. If you’re really curious about what this tastes like, go pour some Orange Fanta and cream soda into a Coke. That’ll tide you over until you can get your hands on the real thing.
