As an avid coffee drinker, there’s no such thing as a cup of joe without creamer. If you’re out here drinking black coffee, I simply cannot relate. I need some caffeine goodness to get me through the day, but I don’t like the taste of coffee without some kind of flavoring. Call me high maintenance, but coffee should be a treat, not a chore. Up until now, my favorite coffee creamer was hazelnut flavored, but now it’s butterbeer.
Yes, you read that right. Coffee Mate just did a nationwide rollout of their new Harry Potter flavored coffee creamers (Slytherin here) and they are so delicious—like, drink-right-out-of-the-container good (trust me, I was tempted.)

All three of these new Coffee Mate creamers are super rich and sweet, and that’s coming from someone with a sweet tooth. My favorite by far is the standard butterbeer creamer, which transported me back to Universal Orlando, where I tried actual butterbeer for the first time. It gave my coffee hints of butterscotch and caramel, essentially turning it into dessert coffee, which I don’t mind. With only five grams of sugar per serving, I was pleasantly surprised with the sweetness level.
The zero sugar creamer isn’t as sweet as the original, but it’s still pretty good. It doesn’t have much of a tell-tale zero-sugar aftertaste and it didn’t leave a weird feeling on my tongue (if you know, you know).
The butterbeer cold foam made for the perfect topping on my morning latte. I love how easy it was to put right on the top of my coffee with the aerosol nozzle and it was easy to control—kinda like magic, I guess you could say. Honestly, I’d even consider adding this to an ice cream sundae.
