Like most American adults, I love a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich and I love coffee. Have I ever desired to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that tastes like coffee? No, not really. Likewise, I don’t think I’ve ever craved coffee that tastes like PB&J—but that didn’t stop Coffee-mate from releasing a new limited edition peanut butter and jelly flavored coffee creamer. Before you get too excited about this “first-of-its-kind mashup creamer,” as it’s described by the brand, there’s a big ol’ caveat: This creamer is available by sweepstakes only. Yes, you have to go to a website, fill out a form, and then cross your fingers you’re selected to receive a bottle. But before you write a strongly worded email to Nestle demanding PB&J creamer for all, g’head and read our review.

Coffee-mate Peanut Butter & Jelly Flavored Duo Coffee Creamer
Sadly, I do not think this coffee creamer tastes like peanut butter and strawberry jelly. It has a definite berry flavor, but the nuttiness was almost totally lost on me. Weirdly, I thought it tasted (and this is a very niche reference) like those Joyva raspberry jelly rings you can buy in drug stores and delis in New York (or at least that was the case when I was a kid in the ’80s). I even made Sporked editor-in-chief Justine Sterling take a sip to confirm and she said, “YUP. Smells like them, too.” See, I’m not nuts! And neither is this creamer (as in, it doesn’t taste like peanut butter).
Pros: Coffee-made Peanut Butter & Jelly Duo is thick, sweet, and creamy—in fact, the bottle advertises that it’s “two times richer than milk.” I tried it in a cup of coffee and while it certainly wouldn’t be the first creamer I reached for, it isn’t bad.
Cons: It just doesn’t taste like PB&J! Raspberry jelly, sure, but I think anyone will be hard pressed to taste nut butter in this bottle.
Howdy! I’m Gwynedd, Sporked’s managing editor. I live in Los Angeles and have access to the best tacos the U.S. has to offer—but I’m a sucker for a crunchy Old El Paso taco night every now and then. I’ve been at Sporked since 2022 and I’m still searching frozen mozzarella sticks that can hold a candle to restaurant sticks.
Why you should trust me: I’ve been a journalist for 20 years (yikes), a consumer of food for 40-plus years, and I’m truly hard pressed to think of foods I don’t like (or that I can’t tolerate at the very least). Oh and one time I cooked my way through Guy Fieri’s cookbook and wrote about the journey through Flavortown.
What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s Original Savory Thins. Fat free plain yogurt (usually Fage or Nancy’s). Honeycrisp apples. Sweet cream coffee creamer for my at-home Americanos. A frozen cauliflower crust pizza and some jarred mushrooms to top it with. Old El Paso Stand ‘N Stuff taco shells and Gardein Ground Be’f, even though I think “be’f” is a nightmarish contraction.
Favorite ranking: Stouffer’s frozen dinners. I don’t own a microwave (I get my cancers the old fashioned way!), so I love taste testing things that I don’t really buy to eat at home.
Least favorite ranking: Soy sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I love soy sauce—but consuming that much sodium in one sitting is probably illegal in some countries. Our frozen enchilada taste test was a close second; the smell of microwaved corn tortillas still haunts me.
