Ever since those bigwigs over at Big Coffee Creamer realized the extent to which they could flavor their products, they haven’t stopped. The last few years have been a particularly ambitious time for this once-simple addition to your morning coffee, and Coffee Mate’s been one of the brands leading the charge on innovation. This summer, it’s been stepping things up a gear, with a bunch of new super-sweet flavors – and it’s not done yet. Oh, no. Just getting started, in fact.

What do we mean by all this? Well, Coffee Mate’s got yet another new creamer. Huddle up around the fire, folks.

Coffee Mate Toasted Marshmallow Mocha Cold Foam Creamer

Coffee Mate’s Toasted Marshmallow Mocha Cold Foam Creamer is on its way to stores, so sayeth @candyhunting, who shared the intel on this new flavor a few days ago. This newfangled option builds on Coffee Mate’s pre-existing Cold Foam line, but gives it a s’mores-y twist that feels very appropriate for camping season. 

There’s a lot going on in this new flavor (marshmallows! Mocha! Cold foam!), but given the current, shall we say, busy vibe of coffee creamers, that doesn’t feel unusual. It’s also not the first s’mores-adjacent creamer out there: Chobani dropped a s’mores-flavored creamer a few months ago, which we were big fans of. The competition’s heating up. Oh, the excitement!

Making A Mocha-ry Out Of S’Mores?

With all that said, though, some people have slightly questioned the flavors that Coffee Mate has gone for here. In @candyhunting’s post, a couple of people said that the mocha vibe that Coffee Mate has added is a step too far; toasted marshmallows, yes, but mocha on top? That’s a no. There’s a danger that this creamer will be a bit too busy for some – although others have said that they’re into it, and there’s definitely a fair bit of excitement around this one, too. Different strokes for different folks, we guess — and hey, chocolate and marshmallows have gone together since time immemorial, so we personally envisage this one being a hit (although we have no doubt that it’ll be seriously sweet).

Whether you want to try it to confirm your suspicions that it won’t be as good as you’d hoped or try it to prove the doubters wrong, you won’t have to wait much longer. Expect to see it popping up on supermarket shelves in the coming days and weeks.
