Costco is no stranger to a branded product. People wear their Kirkland Signature-branded sweatsuits with pride and treat membership like it’s an exclusive club, even though anyone with $65 and a driver’s license that proves their older than 16 can get one. Repping a major corporation isn’t for everyone, but Costco has a posse. The latest product emblazoned with their logo is a tumbler that looks too good to ignore.

Costco is giving away a 32-oz tumbler…but conditions vary from store to store
Unfortunately, they’re not just handing out these beauties for free. According to a Redditor and Costco shopper, they snagged the large, eggshell-white, insulated, Stanley-style drinking vessel by applying for the Costco Anywhere Visa card by Citi. That’s reportedly the case at some stores, but shoppers at other locations said they were able to snag the tumbler by turning on auto-renew on their Costco accounts. We can’t make any promises, but if your store happens to be offering the tumbler simply for turning on auto-renew, one shopper reports that you can switch off auto-renew and then switch it back on at the service desk and still get the gift. Totally, above board? Maybe not. But at least you don’t have to fill out a credit card application!
Dubious that a credit card app is worth a cup? Yeah, makes sense!
But hey, if you’re still tempted by the tumbler, customers seem to have good things to say about the Costco Anywhere card. The card itself offers a slew of cash back categories and has no annual fee as long as you’re a paid Costco member. You get 2% cash back on Costco purchases, 5% cash back on gas (up to $7k annually), and 3% back on restaurants and travel. Though I wish I could just get a freebie tumbler for being a Costco fanatic, I suppose it’s nice that it’s not tied to a credit card that would be a nightmare to add to my wallet.
