Costco’s frozen section really is a treasure trove, and there are more than a few things in there that justify taking up space in your freezer. Few of them, though, speak to us like desserts. Costco’s dessert selection is not to be underestimated, and it’s got a healthy range of ice creams, frozen cookie doughs, cakes, cream puffs, and more besides. The problem with Costco’s frozen desserts, though – and this is a problem that extends to all of its frozen food – is that they’re…big. They can take a while to get through. And once you’ve opened those packages up…well, it’s freezer burn time, baby.

Nobody wants that. But thankfully, Costco’s latest gelato drop addresses it in a very handy way.
Tèo Gelato Packs
Costco has just started stocking variety packs of Tèo Gelato, with three individual pints all coming in one neat little cardboard package for $13.99. In each pack, you get a trio of flavors: Caramel Cookie Crunch, Coffee Cookies & Cream, and Texas Pecan Sundae. This variety pack, to me, solves two key problems I have when buying gelato, ice cream, or any frozen dessert: I want a little bit at a time while the rest remains fresh and burn-free, and I want more than one flavor to try, damn it! Here, you can open the one you’re most interested in first, while the others stay sealed, pristine, and ready to go when you are (although this does mean you have to delay trying the others until a later time – we’ll see how your temptation holds up).
This is quality stuff, too. Tèo Gelato is an Austin-born company that makes Italian-inspired gelato, and its frozen desserts have won multiple awards, including the People’s Choice Best in the US award at the 2016 Gelato World Tour competition. Alongside Costco, its gelato is sold at stores like H-E-B and Central Market. The company also has a Goat Cheese & Cherry flavor, which literally made my mouth water when I saw it on its website. Need. To. Try.
And Where Can I Find This Gelato?
Sadly, it’s not stocked at every Costco. Tèo Gelato is currently at Costco warehouses in Texas, Oklahoma, and LA. For everyone else, you’ll have to simply…buy three different pints of gelato to emulate the experience. Honestly, I can think of worse ways to spend my money. Keep an eye out, though, as Costco has a funny habit of dropping items where and when you least expect them.
