Costco’s Thanksgiving Dinner Doesn’t Skimp On The Sides

Retailers are making Thanksgiving very easy this year. In the last couple of weeks, supermarkets like Aldi, Target, Walmart, and Sam’s Club have all announced their holiday meals, which allow you to skip the list-building and pick up bundles of items in one fell swoop – and, as these meals vary significantly in price per person, there’s something for everyone. If you want to keep things on the more affordable side, Aldi and Walmart are for you; if you’re interested in more options and don’t mind spending a little extra, Sam’s Club’s got you covered.

And if you want to go really big, Costco’s here to deliver. The big-box retailer is bringing back its Thanksgiving dinner for another year, and you won’t be caught short on options.

Costco Complete Gourmet Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner

Costco’s Complete Gourmet Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner is back for 2026, and as with most things at Costco, it’s big. Really big. Each dinner weighs in at a hefty 30 pounds and has enough food to generously feed eight people. For your meat, you get a five-pound free-range turkey breast, rolled up and ready to cook without any further preparation. Dessert’s also covered, with a whole pumpkin pie and a tray of apple cobbler.

And then, there’s the sides. Oh, the sides. This is where Costco’s Thanksgiving dinner really shines: You get a tray of mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, green bean casserole, cornbread stuffing, candied yams, sweet corn, a dozen dinner rolls, cranberry relish, and turkey gravy. Unlike a lot of the other Thanksgiving and holiday meals available at retailers, which sell the ingredients for your sides and desserts, everything is prepared here: It’s simply a matter of heating it.

Sounds Convenient. How Much Does It Cost?

Well, here’s the kicker: Costco’s Complete Gourmet Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner is currently $199.99, down from $269.99. The $70 saving is welcome, of course, but that still puts it at $25 per head.

That’s A Little Expensive…

It is, especially when you compare it to how other supermarkets are pricing their holiday meals. The clear comparison here is Sam’s Club: Its Thanksgiving meal feeds 16 people for less than $10 per person, and you get turkey and ham, as well as a bunch of sides and a charcuterie tray. Walmart’s Holiday Meal Basket, meanwhile, costs $3.50 per head, and while it’s designed to feed fewer people, you can double up on quantities. In our opinion, if you’re feeding a big crowd, Sam’s Club has the best option for price-to-variety, but Costco’s sides are still very tempting.
