Cracker Barrel’s New Deals Are For Chicken Lovers

I saw a TikTok video yesterday in which the creator said, and I might be butchering this quote slightly, “stop trying to September my August.” Honestly, that sentiment feels especially resonant when it comes to the food world, where brands try not only to turn August into September, but do the same thing with even earlier months (cough cough, pumpkin spice creamer in June). On the flip side, though, this is the time of the year that fall deals come thick and fast and give us much to look forward to in the chillier months ahead – so different strokes for different folks, people!

Anyway, all of this is to say that Cracker Barrel’s just announced its fall deals, menu items, and kids’ offers, and a lot is going on – especially if you like chicken. Let’s unpack. 

Cracker Barrel New Crispy Homestyle Chicken Deals

Starting today, Cracker Barrel is unveiling a refresh of its Crispy Homestyle Chicken menu. For a limited time, you can grab a selection of Crispy Homestyle Chicken meals starting at just $9.99 – and there’s a lot on offer. 

If you want to stick to the $9.99 mark, you can grab the restaurant’s hand-breaded chicken as an entrée with two Country Sides and buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins, or get it in a buttermilk bun with pickles, Duke’s Real Mayonnaise, and a Country Side. Or, you can dig into its new Loaded Creations or Sauced Selections – there are two of each:

• Maple Bacon Homestyle Chicken (Loaded Creation): Crispy Homestyle Chicken with Colby cheese, bacon, sweet maple glaze and a cool ranch drizzle. How am I already hungry? I literally just ate. 
• BBQ Smokestack Homestyle Chicken (Loaded Creation): Here, the chicken comes with crispy bacon, fried onions, melted Colby cheese, and sweet barbecue sauce. Similar vibes to the above, it must be said, but hey – I’m not complaining.
• Nashville Hot Homestyle Chicken (Sauced Selection): Crispy Homestyle Chicken covered in Cracker Barrel’s signature Nashville Hot sauce. 
• Honey Butter Homestyle Chicken (Sauced Selection): Potentially the most low-key exciting option here, for the sheer fact that Cracker Barrel is coating its chicken in sweet honey butter – a simple move, but an effective one. 

New Menu Items

Not content to merely jazz up its Crispy Homestyle Chicken menu, Cracker Barrel is also bringing out a bunch of new fall-themed breakfasts, desserts, and drinks. First up is its Sweet Cream Caramel Apple Pancakes and Sweet Cream Caramel Apple French Toast, which both come topped with fried cinnamon apples, caramel drizzle, and sweet vanilla cream sauce (along with eggs and bacon or sausages). For dessert, try out its new Apple Cobbler Cheesecake – and to drink, perhaps its new Sweet Honey Latte? 

Oh, and to mark the new school year, Cracker Barrel’s bringing back its Free Kids Toy promotion, from August 18 to September 7. Your little’uns can either avail of one of six B’loonie Petz toy characters when you buy a dine-in adult entrée and Kid’s Meal, or you can get $5 off certain retail toys from the Old Country Store. 

Lot going on here, huh? Its new fall items are running through October 18, so you’ve got time to sample them. Maybe September-ing our August isn’t such a bad thing after all.
