So it kinda feels like fate that these two interests of ours would come together eventually, right? Well, now they have. Cracker Barrel has just announced a new sweepstakes, and it’s giving away $250,000 in prizes. Let’s discuss.

Fuel Your Summer Road Trip with Cracker Barrel

The restaurant and store’s “Fuel Your Summer Road Trip” sweepstakes offers, it says, the chance for customers to ease their seasonal spending just a little bit. “Road trips are synonymous with summer and our goal is to help our guests take the trip, see the country and make new memories,” said Cracker Barrel’s chief marketing officer, Sarah Moore, in a press statement. “So many of our guests have wonderful memories of their summer road trips with family and friends and Cracker Barrel has always been a favorite stop along the way. Fuel Your Summer Road Trip is our way of helping guests make those plans feel a little easier – both at the table and at the pump.”

What does this mean in practice? Well, from May 19 through July 26, Cracker Barrel Rewards members will have the chance to enter a weekly sweepstakes. 25 winners will be selected each week, and those winners will win a $500 gift card for the restaurant and a $500 gas gift card. The sweepstakes runs for 10 weeks, giving 250 people the chance to win. Sounds good, right?

Yeah, Sounds Good – But How Do I Enter?

Well, here’s the rub: Unlike a fair few other sweepstakes offered at the moment, you have to spend money to be eligible for this one. Perhaps some good news, though, is that you’re not paying an entree fee, but rather buying a meal. Purchases of qualifying entrées at Cracker Barrel throughout the sweepstakes period will earn you an entry into the weekly draw, with each entrée purchase offering one entry. You can also add an additional entry by picking up an in–store retail item while you’re there, and Cracker Barrel will also offer extra ways to add further entries.

However, bear in mind that you have to be a Cracker Barrel Rewards member to be part of this draw, so sign up before you buy your first meal. Don’t worry: It’s free to do so.
