You Have Until Sunday To Grab Dairy Queen’s $1 Deal

An ice cream cone is good, but a dipped ice cream cone – now that’s what we’re talking about. I had an ice cream cone yesterday, and while I didn’t explicitly think at the time that it’d be better with a chocolate shell coating it (I was too busy, y’know, eating the ice cream), in retrospect…I missed a trick there.

Hey, I still enjoyed it. But I would have enjoyed it more if it were a dollar (and with said chocolate shell). So, safe to say that Dairy Queen’s current $1 dipped cone deal, which runs until Sunday, has piqued my interest. Here’s the lowdown.

$1 Dipped Cones Until Sunday

This deal has come courtesy of @snackolator and The Freebie Guy, who alerted us to its presence in the Dairy Queen app. From now through May 31, if you go into the app and tap the Deals section, you should see an offer for a $1 Small Dipped Cone, in any flavor. You then just have to give the coupon in-store at checkout.

Given that a Small Dipped Cone from Dairy Queen can run at around the $4 mark (with a bit of movement on either side of that number), this is a fairly significant saving. Just bear in mind, though, that the coupon only seems to become available for use 24 hours after you redeem it…which is slightly annoying if you want one then and there. Might be worth thinking ahead on that one. 

Breakfast Sweepstakes

This $1 Dipped Cone deal isn’t the only thing that DQ’s offering through its app at the moment. A slightly higher-profile prize (which has, admittedly, a significantly slimmer chance of success) is a $1,000 gift card that you can spend on Dairy Queen breakfast for a full year, courtesy of its current Breakfast Break Sweepstakes. To enter, you need the app – of course, as everything requires an app these days – through which you can play a mini-game. Upon completion of the game, you’re entered into the sweepstakes, and you can play it again every day to win instant prizes and unlock rewards.

Again, though, this sweepstakes only runs through May 31, so if you’re hankering for a short game that might lead to fast food-based prizes, now’s your chance.
