Denny’s Is Throwing Shade At Dunkin’ With These New Frappes

Dunkin’ has been having plenty of fun with its fall drinks, but Denny’s may have just entered the chat. The diner already has its seasonal menu out, and now it is following up with something that could make Dunkin’ fans do a double take. Denny’s has a new lineup of Cloud Frappes and each goes for just $5.99.

Denny’s Isn’t Done With Fall Yet

Denny’s kicked off fall with a whole new menu on September 1st, bringing plenty of pumpkin and apple flavors along for the ride. The menu includes the returning Pumpkin Pecan Pancake Slam, plus new drinks such as the Caramel Apple Cold Brew and Caramel Apple Lemonade.  

But why stop at one fall menu when you can do two? So Denny’s is following up with its all-new Cloud Frappes. The five-drink lineup covers a little bit of everything, from the cold brew-based Stay Salty, Vanilla, and Mocha Cloud Frappes to the much more unexpected Orange Cream and Barq’s Root Beer versions.

The Salted Caramel One Sounds Seriously Good

The Stay Salty Cloud Frappe is made for anyone who likes a little sweet and salty action with their coffee. Denny’s combines cold brew and salted caramel, then adds whipped cream and a salted caramel drizzle on top.

Vanilla And Mocha Keep Things Classic

For anyone who would rather not get too adventurous before breakfast, Denny’s has two good options.

The Vanilla Cloud Frappe blends cold brew with creamy vanilla and gets a whipped cream topping. It has the basic coffee-and-vanilla combination that makes sense for a frozen drink, without adding a bunch of extra bells and whistles.

Then there’s the Mocha Cloud Frappe, which blends cold brew and chocolate before finishing the drink with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. Basically, it is the frozen coffee order for anyone who thinks chocolate makes almost everything better.

Then Things Get A Little Weird

The most surprising drinks in this lineup do not even involve coffee. The Orange Cream Cloud Frappe mixes Fanta Orange with creamy vanilla flavors, then tops the frosty drink with whipped cream. This could be similar to Starbucks’ own take on a Creamsicle flavor.

There’s also the Barq’s Root Beer Cloud Frappe. Yep, root beer. The drink takes the flavor of Barq’s Root Beer, turns it into a frozen treat, and finishes it with whipped cream.

Dunkin’ Might Want To Watch Out

Dunkin’ may be known for its coffee and its recent Cloud Lattes, but Denny’s is giving it some fun competition with these new Cloud Frappes. The Mocha Cloud Frappe is a lot like Dunkin’s Triple Mocha Coffee Chiller, but Denny’s takes things further with drinks like Barq’s Root Beer Cloud Frappe.

The Denny’s menu might just win over both coffee lovers and anyone who would rather skip the coffee altogether.
