Dunkin’ Is Bringing Back a Beloved Item on April 29

The power of posting on the internet is not to be underestimated, folks. Brands listen to what their customers are saying online these days like never before, and if you really want a certain item back on a fast food chain’s menu or in stores, if you make enough noise, you might be able to get it back through sheer will. Yeah, a lot of the time it doesn’t work – I’ve seen enough abandoned petitions for snack foods to come back to see that happen – but sometimes, it does.

Dunkin’ is clearly one of those brands with its ear to the ground, because it’s decided that it’s time to roll its Marshmallow Cold Foam back out, as part of its new Cloud Lattes. And let me tell ya, the people are happy.

Marshmallow Cold Foam: The Ace Up Dunkin’s Sleeve

Cold foam is very much a thing that’s absolutely everywhere these days, but marshmallow cold foam is its own beast. First dropping at Dunkin’ in early-mid-2024, this topping won a lot of fans for its sweet, dessert-y vibe, which contrasted something fierce with the coffee it came nestled upon. It was kinda like a marshmallow fluff, but lighter and with not so much of that stickiness.

Then, it disappeared, much to the sadness of customers everywhere. “Does anyone know whether the marshmallow cold foam is gonna come back this summer?” said a fan on Reddit last year. “It was the best cold foam Dunkin has ever had and I’ve been dreaming of it since last summer.” Sadly, it did not come back last summer, and the people were left disappointed.

But now, it’s back! Dunkin’s new summer menu features its new Cloud Lattes, which come with its marshmallow cold foam on top. Yay! These lattes are your classic iced affair, but with its marshmallow-y topping, and then you’ve also got a scattering of either Oreo pieces, nuts, and/or chocolate. Now, we don’t want to show bias, but that does sound pretty good.

It May Well Be A Dunkin’ Summer

Dunkin’s cloud lattes are definitely one of the star attractions of its summer menu, but it’s also definitely got a few tricks up its sleeve. Amongst its new items are six refreshers, three new matcha drinks, three limeades, a couple of new donuts, and a dirty soda. It’s also got a couple of coffee chillers, which will be made with whipped cream instead of marshmallow cold foam, but which we think will still be pretty tasty.
