Denny’s has an all new menu—and ‘80s kids are going to be lining up to get it.

Denny’s has a long history of creating weird, fun (and weirdly fun) menu items themed to current movies like The Hobbit’s “Gandalf Gobble Melt” (a sliced turkey breast and stuffing sandwich with swiss cheese and cranberry honey mustard spread), The Fantastic Four’s “Thing Burger” (a beef burger topped with hash browns, a cooked-to-order egg, bacon strips, cheddar cheese, and “punch-packing Thing sauce”), and the “Beetlejuicy Burger,” which featured three quarter-pound beef patties, covered with bacon, provolone, pickles, onion, tomatoes, and lettuce on brioche bun. (It’s what I imagine Tim Burton wolfs down when he gets the munchies.)
Well, the chain has unveiled their latest movie tie-in menu, which will tie into Masters of the Universe, the upcoming big-budget reboot of the ‘80s He-Man toyline that’ll hit theaters on June 5th. (If you’re not a fan, the story line can be summed up as: a fantasy bodybuilder battles another fantasy bodybuilder. Also, one of the bodybuilders is blue and his face is a skull.)
What’s on the Denny’s Masters of the Universe menu?
The He-Man Burger Battle
This “He-Man Worthy Burger” features a 6 oz burger patty covered with cheese, bacon, shredded beef, and BBQ sauce. It’s also served with a knife stabbed through the top of it, and with fries.
Skeletor’s Dark Shakeverse
A strawberry milkshake mixed with blueberries, with a topping of whipped cream and popping candy.
Jr. Grayskull’s Epic Cracklecakes
Three silver-dollar pancakes drizzled with vanilla cream and popping candy, served with a kid’s side dish.
He-Man Eternia Slams
A breakfast dish with two buttermilk pancakes, a scoop of mint chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, plus a choice of Slam side dish options.
When is this new Denny’s menu going to be available?
Well, it’s already out in Hawaii, as a news station KHON2 featured a whole segment on the meal, which featured the best look at the menu items. You can see it here.
As for mainland U.S. states, the chain hasn’t announced an official start date yet, but it’s rumored to be hitting locations on April 15th.
