I’m gonna be real with y’all. I don’t think about Hershey’s Kisses all that often these days. Maybe if I made peanut butter blossom cookies a lot (I don’t). Or if I were still in my “participates in 12 Secret Santas and half of all my gifts to people are a pile of Candy Cane Hershey Kisses” era (I’m not, though I’m not opposed to revisiting it). Or maybe if I were simply more of a fiend for chocolates that come in cute holiday packaging (only medium fiend levels here). But alas, I have not been on the Hershey Kisses fandom train of lately. Frankly, I had no idea that only a few Hershey’s Kisses flavors have ever been discontinued, and the ones that have been don’t even look bad. In fact, they look kinda good. In fact…we kind of want Hershey’s to bring them all back.

Here are the discontinued Hershey’s Kisses we miss(es).

Pumpkin Spice Kisses (2008-2019)

You would think a chocolate giant such as Hershey’s Kisses, what with their seasonal themes and basically already ghost-shaped silhouette, would have a pumpkin spice flavor. I write about this stuff for a living, and I certainly thought they had a pumpkin spice flavor, but y’all? I was wrong. From 2008 to 2019, they did have one that consisted of an orange-colored, cinnamon-flavored white chocolate outside, and a creamy white filling people said tasted like vanilla cheesecake…Hershey’s. My guy. My absolute brosephine. What are you doing discontinuing a thing like that? Bring! her! back! Me and my basic friends will buy them. Pinky swear.

Candy Corn Kisses (2007-2011)

Now, I get why these were discontinued. I do. But Hershey’s, now that we’re friends, I’ll let you in on why you should bring them back. Yes, I am aware that these were sweet white chocolate sugar bombs that were supposed to taste like classic candy corn. Yes, I am aware that some said they tasted like butter flavor, others said they were vanilla frosting forward, and still others detected notes of licorice somehow. That is a pretty insane flavor range, and I do declare, I MUST know what these bad boys tasted like. What other food even is there that lies at the strange intersection of licorice, butter, and vanilla? Biscotti? Did these striped confections taste like a McFrickin biscotti?!? No matter how you shuck it, these Candy Corn Hershey’s Kisses were sweet. Some loved them, some hated them, and we want to try them. Desperately.

Hershey’s Caramel Kisses (2004-2022)

This one seems like a no-brainer. Miss Hershey’s, why on earth did you discontinue Caramel Hershey’s Kisses? These were simply milk chocolate Kisses filled with caramel. They were so beloved that after they were discontinued in 2022, a Change.org petition that cropped up to demand that Hershey’s bring them back. There is no caramel Kiss offering at the moment. Is this what ultimately sent us down the darkest timeline? If we bring back Caramel Hershey’s Kisses, will there finally be world peace—and also will my knee stop hurting? I ask you this.

Dracula Kisses (Discontinued Circa 2021)

These just seem like good, clean fun. I mean, come on, milk chocolate Hershey’s Kisses oozing with blood-red strawberry-flavored cream? Sign me up. These would do numbers on the Halloween circuit. Plus, they came in purple foil wrappers with bats on them, and you already know Safiya Nygaard would be all over that collab if Hershey’s reached out. The little paper flag that protrudes from the top of Kisses (which I learned today is called the “paper plume”) had the word “Vampire” printed on it. These sound lovely from taste to aesthetic, and I see no downside to bringing them back.

Kissables (2005-2009)

Did you know that at one point Hershey’s made their own version of M&M’s? They were called “Kissables” and were essentially chocolate chips with an M&M’s-like candy coating. They didn’t do too well, likely because M&M’s are just too ubiquitous to be beat, and because, at some point, Hershey’s changed the formula and people were not on board…but Hershey’s? I still kind of want to try these. I think the Hershey’s Kiss/chocolate chip shape would make for a more interesting textural experience than M&M’s. Plus, I love being able to say I like alt indie candies like a cool person, and Kissables could fill the alt indie M&M’s niche the world has been missing.

Vanilla Frosting Filled Hershey’s Kisses (2023-?)

Okay, y’all, it is not entirely clear if these have disappeared forever or if they just had an off year this year. Vanilla Frosting Kisses were an Easter time flavor that was introduced in 2023 and returned in 2024, but not in 2025. I only just learned that these ever existed, but alas, I am too late, as these have been discontinued, and some believe they were replaced by the new-ish Harry Potter Butterbeer Kisses. Me? I refuse to believe that. I think these bad boys are going to reappear on shelves when we least expect it, and we will all be better for it. Or at least I will be. I just have to know if they actually taste like Dunkaroos, as people across the internet seem to suggest.
