Our Honest Review of Dunkin’ Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte

Dunkin’ has been in the alcohol business since around this time last year. They first released variety packs of spiked iced coffee and then later a variety pack of hard iced teas. At the time of writing, Spiked Dunkin’ has launched in 26 states (mainly east of the Mississippi River as well as Texas and California).

But the reason we’re here today is because Spiked Dunkin’ just dropped a new flavor for the season: Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte! It’s made with real coffee, pumpkin spice flavor, and a non-dairy vegan creamer with a malt-based alcohol base. For those keeping score at home, it’s 6% ABV and has 30mg of natural caffeine, which is allowed in the United States—added caffeine, on the other hand, is not allowed in pre-packaged alcoholic drinks. Dunkin’ sent some over for us to try so read on to discover if this is one worth seeking out.

New Dunkin’ Spiked!

Spiked Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte

Pros: I’m going to be completely honest here: I’m not a huge coffee drinker. The only way I really drink coffee is by adding so much sugar to it that it is no longer legally considered coffee. But Dunkin’ does something with this Spiked PSL that really works for me. It is very smooth and incredibly creamy and isn’t too bitter! The pumpkin spice flavor marries the malt base in a very satisfying way.

Cons: It’s heavy—sort of in the same way that a Guinness is heavy. It tastes good, for sure, but I started feeling full after just drinking a third of a 12oz can. I enjoy the flavor, but I’d probably have to split it with someone. I can’t see myself drinking this in one sitting.
