The world is one step closer to recreating Dutch Bros at home thanks to a new find at the grocery store! A Redditor recently found the secret sauce behind Dutch Bros’ soft top at their local Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse. Fans say Rich’s on Top is what Dutch Bros uses in store and the only way you could get it before was to buy it in bulk or try to recreate the magic on your own.
If you don’t have a Shamrock near you, and you’re not looking to mass produce Dutch Bros drinks, you could try to make it on your own. According to the comments, the recipe is pretty simple. Whip up heavy whipping cream and a splash of vanilla with a frother, and voila! There was, however, some pushback in the comments saying the homemade stuff wasn’t the same, so proceed with caution.
If you are able to get your hands on a carton of Rich’s on Top, a few Dutch Bros employees went above and beyond to share the proper technique for topping your drink to the right degree. You want to use 2oz of Rich’s for each drink and you want to shake it vigorously. Not that half-ass shake you give anything that says “shake before serving,” you gotta put your back into it for this one. Each carton comes with 19oz of product so you’ll be able to squeeze out around ten drinks before you have to re-up.
