In what feels like a first in many weeks, we’re not expanding on any previous recalls! I don’t quite know if that’s good news or not, but I’ll take it as a good sign that things are sorted. I suppose it’s much better to hear that than the alternative that a recall is ever-growing.

This week, and I admit that it does feel weird to say this, we have some pretty mild recalls―in that the recalled products are not in something as critical as baby formula. Anyway, I might have my foot in my mouth at this point, so let’s just get into the recalls to know about this week.
MorningStar Farms ― Plastic
MorningStar Farms, the vegan and vegetarian food company, has recalled two products in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica: their buffalo chik’n nuggets (10.5oz variety) and hot & spicy sausage patties (8oz variety). This is due to the possibility that plastic pieces can be found in the food.
Now in defense of my previous statements, I did brush this off as manageable considering microplastics are in basically everything now. I promise I do get the difference here! Affected products can be identified with the better-if-used-before dates of July 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th 2027.
Chocolate Covered Raisins ― Peanuts
This week we have more chocolate covered raisins that are being recalled for a possible contamination of peanuts, but it’s from a different brand. Lehi Valley Trading Company has recalled their High Valley Orchard chocolate covered raisins for undeclared peanuts.
The recalled chocolate covered raisins were distributed in retail stores through Albertson’s distribution center between 5/18/2026 and 6/25/2026. The product comes in a 15oz, clear plastic package marked with lot #0160933 with a best-by-date of Jan 23, 2027 on the bottom right-hand side of the front label.
Chicken Caesar Wrap ― Listeria
A public health alert for Fresh Seasons Kitchen ready-to-eat chicken caesar wrap products has been issued due to a concern that the product may be contaminated with listeria. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available to be purchased.
The wraps were sold in 8.7oz. clear plastic wrapped packages with a sell by date of 6/24/2026 which is printed on the back label above the ingredients. The products bear establishment number “P- 45091” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The caesar wraps were shipped to Holiday convenience stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
