We’re deep into the release of fall flavors. But rest assured, we’re keeping track of each and every one so that you can be ready for all the best new treats this season. Now, the predictable flavor of fall is pumpkin (and look, I love a good pumpkin spice), but sometimes you want brands to be a little more creative with such an iconic season that has more to offer than just pumpkin.

We’ll you’re in for a treat because Cold Stone listened and decided to buck all the pumpkin nonsense (for now at least, the season is still young―there’s time for more releases). So for ice cream lovers, get ready for some cozy fall vibes at Cold Stone Creamery with their two new fall creations: the Crumb and Get It and Going Bananas.
The New Flavors
A fall drop with not even an idea of pumpkin. But these flavors both feel warm and cozy and like they fit right in for fall. You will definitely be seeing this writer at Cold Stone soon.
So what can you expect from each creation? Well the Crumb and Get It is a graham cracker ice cream with cookie dough pieces, graham cracker pieces, and cookie butter―a twist on s’mores and cookies. I would say, a nice little swizzle of fudge would make this top tier. And the really great thing about Cold Stone is you’re allowed that level of control over your flavors. Try it as is or add something a little extra to make it your own creation.
Going Bananas is a banana cream pudding ice cream mixed with NILLA® Wafers, banana, and whipped topping. Because banana has been so popular this year, it’s really no surprise that going into fall we’d see a pretty classic gathering desert show up in the stores. After Sonic’s banana collection release, I’ll be interested to see how this compares (as long as it doesn’t taste like the slush, it should be really good). And really, I’m here for the rise of banana pudding desserts. I don’t have a good hookup for banana pudding and it’s just such an underrated dessert.
More To Come?
There is likely to be multiple fall releases. As much as I enjoy the spurning of typical fall flavors by Cold Stone, I’m sure they’re just waiting for later in the season to release them. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any rumors or updates from them. And I will say, apple is usually the next go-to fall flavor for brands, so why don’t we see that here? Well simple, Cold Stone has a year round apple creation, so that’s most likely why we’re not seeing an apple release. It’s an odd choice to leave out a pumpkin flavor, but frankly, a welcome one.
