If you think you’re having a big summer, then spare a thought for Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. The fast food chain is in the throes of its new custard drops, which it’s running for 13 straight weeks (in case you were wondering, this week it’s the Latte Shake, made with Oreos and vanilla custard – god, I’m hungry now). But it didn’t decide to stop there! No, no: Freddy’s has also decided that it’s the right time to bring out a new range of sodas, which feature its famous custard and which fit in with a very 2026 trend.

And you know what? We’re not mad about it. These things sound good. Grab a straw, and let’s dive in.
Freddy’s Bevies
Freddy’s has just announced its new Freddy’s Bevies, which combine soda and custard cream to make a thicker, richer, dirtier…yes! That’s right. These are dirty sodas, and Freddy’s has dropped them well aware that it’s the beverage of the moment. “Premium beverage growth is exploding right now, and at Freddy’s, our guests are increasingly seeking more elevated drink options,” said the brand’s senior director of menu strategy and innovation, Rick Petralia, in a statement. “Our Custard Cream Sodas offer a richer and creamier take on the dirty soda trend, highlighting fun and refreshing flavors unique to Freddy’s with the addition of our vanilla custard cream.”
To be honest, this does feel like a clever way to incorporate its flagship product into the drink of the moment, so hats off, Freddy’s. As for the flavors, they are:
- Golden Hour Orange Custard Cream Soda: A Starry and candied orange blend, topped with Freddy’s custard cream.
- Peach Peach Baby Custard Cream Soda: Starry/peach, with Freddy’s custard cream.
- Coco Loco Custard Cream Soda: Dr Pepper blended with coconut, and topped with – yep! – custard cream.
- Blue Rizzberry Custard Cream Soda: Oh, we’re loving these names. Starry mixed with blue raspberry syrup, and with a topping of…three guesses! Yes, custard cream.
- Mango Magic Custard Cream Soda: Starry blended with mango, with a topping of Freddy’s good ol’ custard cream.
And That’s Not All!
Alongside these new custard cream sodas, the Freddy’s Bevies lineup also includes three new tea and lemonade flavors: Peachy Keen Tea or Lemonade, Strawberry Sunset Tea or Lemonade, and Mango Sunrise Tea or Lemonade. If you’re opting for lemonade, all three drinks use Tropicana. If you’re going for tea, they use a freshly brewed iced tea.
Well, Freddy’s, you’ve got our attention with this one! And if it’s got yours too, then you can find Freddy’s Bevies in stores now.
