2 Fan Favorite GHOST Energy Drinks Are Coming Back

Last month fellow Sporked staffer Tyler Bowers and I were standing at the Perfetti Van Melle booth at the Sweets & Snacks Expo, talking about the Bubblicious bubble gum display. Naturally, the conversation shifted to how much we enjoyed GHOST’s line of Bubblicious bubble gum-flavored energy drinks—one of which happens to be my favorite energy drink they’ve ever made. (Bubblicious Cotton Candy to be specific; Tyler prefers Strawbango, one of our only major disagreements.) Well, I’ve got good news for people like me. 

This week, GHOST announced that two fan-favorite GHOST energy flavors would return to shelves in June: Bubblicious Strawberry Splash and Bubblicious Cotton Candy. I mentioned the rumors in a Sporked article back in April, long before the official announcement, but now I’m definitely excited to get all the official details on paper for you good people.

So these GHOST energy drinks are bubble gum flavored?

Oh, it’s weirder than that. GHOST is bringing back a strawberry flavored bubble gum flavored energy drink and a cotton candy flavored bubble gum flavored energy drink. I know that sounds complicated, but trust me: I’ve had both of these before, and they truly taste like the bubble gum flavors that inspired them. GHOST launched Bubblicious Strawberry Splash for the first time back in 2021, while the Cotton Candy variant launched for the first time in 2023. We’ve seen a Bubblicious flavor return for limited-time promotions every year since that initial launch.

When and where can I try these returning GHOST energy drinks for myself?

When it comes to grocers and supermarkets, you’ll only be able to find these GHOST flavors at the Kroger family of stores. That said, you can also find these at GNC and Vitamin Shoppe locations until they inevitably sell out, because these flavors are popular. Worst case, you should be able to find these on GHOST’s own website—but expect to pay for shipping.

What Bubblicious flavored energy drinks could GHOST make next?

Speaking conservatively, everyone I know is counting down the minutes until we hear that GHOST is producing a Bubblicious Watermelon energy drink. Other Bubblicious flavors include Tropical Punch, Sour Citrus, Blueberry, and Grape. (I don’t know about you, but I only ever bought Watermelon Bubblicious.)
