Goodbye Pumpkin Spice: Cranberry Has Entered The Fall Flavors Chat

It’s fall and that means one thing flavor wise: pumpkin spice everything. We’ve reported plenty on all the different brands releasing their take on anything you could imagine with a pumpkin spice twist. Now, I love a good pumpkin spice, don’t get me wrong. But I think there are other fall flavors that deserve just as much attention as pumpkin spice. And one brand is taking it upon themselves to combat the mountain of pumpkin spice products and bring you something a little different this fall.

So, who’s the crazy brand trying to fight pumpkin spice alone? Well, none other than Ocean Spray. The brand is releasing a line of new cranberry products for the fall that are sure to bring that tangy little fruit to your day in new ways (that aren’t just the cranberry jelly in a can on Thanksgiving). They’ve got three great new products to bring a little fruit twist to your fall. 

Ocean Spray Cranberries

First we’ve got two limited edition items. One is a limited edition Cranberry Cider Juice. This juice blends two quintessential fall fruits into one delightful seasonal beverage. Featuring cranberry and apple flavors with notes of cinnamon, clove and ginger, this is a fun and new take on the typical apple cider that you love during the fall. And it’s perfect warmed or chilled. The juice is available on Amazon, Walmart’s website, and select Walmart stores beginning in October.

The second limited item is a cranberry spread. This is inspired by a popular offering in the UK, now available to US consumers. This cranberry spread is what you’ve always wished the cranberry jelly to be. This tart and tangy fruit spread brings a punch of cranberry to toast, sandwiches, cheese boards, and more. This spread will roll out to select retailers beginning in October. Retailers include Publix and Hy-Vee.

Finally, the last new release is a permanent addition to Ocean Spray’s line of products. This is the newest in their line of Sour products. This is Sour Apple flavored Craisins. The dried cranberries you love just got a punch of fresh apple flavor for a fun new little snack while also delivering a bit of a pucker. Sweet, fruity, and a little sour. Perfect for a little healthy treat or a fun flavor bomb in a salad. These will be available on Amazon starting October 5th.

A Fresh Take On Fall

Now these sound like a fun new take on fall flavors. I love a good cider and a good cranberry juice so I’m definitely going to be trying the new juice from them. The spread also sounds like it will be real perfect for upgrading your traditional Thanksgiving table from bland cranberry jelly that is still shaped like the can for what cranberries should always strive to be. I’ll definitely be making a leftover sandwich with that.
