We’ve been ready for this one for a minute, folks. Haagen-Dazs has been teasing the arrival of its Dubai chocolate ice cream bars for months now: We first started talking about them way back in February, following a lead from @markie_devo, and we’ve been waiting patiently for them to arrive ever since. In the meantime, Magnum has dropped its own Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream Bars at Sam’s Club, implicitly putting pressure on Haagen-Dazs to respond with the alleged product of its very own.

Well, now it has! The ice cream maker has now officially released its Dubai Style Chocolate Mini Bars, and like the Magnum version, they’ll be available in one bulk-buy store only. That’s right. It’s Costco. Here’s what you need to know.
Haagen-Dazs Dubai Style Chocolate Mini Bars
In its press statement, Haagen-Dazs says that its Dubai Style Chocolate Mini Bars have been released to “[build] on the popularity of Dubai‑inspired desserts.” That’s putting it lightly: We haven’t been able to move for Dubai-style chocolate treats in the last 18 months, and this one is merely the latest to arrive at the party. Well, hey, better late than never, we guess. The brand also notes that this flavor builds on the success of its famous pistachio flavor, which, for our money, is one of the best Haagen-Dazs flavors out there.
Its Dubai Style Chocolate Mini Bars, though, take it up a notch. Haagen-Dazs states that each bar is made with “creamy pistachio ice cream, kataifi toasted to golden perfection, and rich milk chocolate made with global levels of indulgence.” We appreciate that there’s actually kataifi in this one, instead of it just having a vague combination of pistachio and chocolate, for which “Dubai-style” has become a bit of a byword. So far, this looks like the real thing.
When Can I Get My Hands On These?
Haagen-Dazs Dubai Style Chocolate Mini Bars will start to roll out at select Costco locations starting April 27, before receiving wider distribution. For whatever reason, though, people in Texas and the Southeast won’t be blessed with the ice cream bars at their location. Why? We don’t know. Costco hasn’t given any indication on that front. Maybe it’ll change its mind? Either way, sorry, guys – we hate to be the bearers of bad news.
How Much Will They Be?
Each 20-pack of mini bars will cost around $15.49 to $15.99, depending on the location, although prices may vary slightly on either side of this. You’ll have to check your local Costco for the exact cost.
Will They Be Any Good?
We don’t know, folks. But we hope so. We really do. Stay tuned for the official Sporked review!
