While many people are busy celebrating Christmas in July, Oreo and Post (makers of Oreo Cereal) have decided that Halloween in July is even better. Introducing Halloween Oreo Puffs!

Wait, Oreo Puffs? What happened to Oreo O’s?

Late last year Post (and Oreo) made the unfortunate decision to pull the plug on childhood classic Oreo O’s, and while we still aren’t really sure why this decision happened, we do very much approve of the new Oreo Puffs that took their place on the shelves.

So, what is Halloweeny about these new Halloween Oreo Puffs?

At face value, Halloween Oreo Puffs appear to look almost exactly the same as Oreo Puffs. However, once milk is poured over the cereal, the marshmallows in the cereal react with the milk and turns it “Spooky Orange!” Folks, I can’t lie to you, this is peak ‘90s cereal marketing and I am eating it up. I love a good spooky season release and just thinking about this has me ready to decorate my home for the season.

When and where can I get this new Halloween Oreo cereal?

Halloween Oreo Puffs will hit shelves officially on August 1st anywhere the brand is sold and will be available through the end of October while supplies last. We’re hunting for this cereal for ourselves so stay tuned for a review soon. If you’re as much of a Spooky Szn enjoyer as I am, be sure to add this item to your shopping list.

The brand requested we include this: OREO, OREO PUFFS, the OREO Design, the OREO Wafer Design and the signature OREO Blue color are trademarks of Mondelēz International group, used under license.
