It’s every Midwesterner’s dream. Becoming a “ranch-bassador” and spreading the gospel of creamy, herby goodness. Hidden Valley Ranch is looking for four elite ranch lovers to travel Europe, eat food, and proselytize the locals. Hidden Valley Ranch is billing this as a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for ranch lovers to spread the Flavor of America abroad—and get paid while doing it.” Bold to call ranch the flavor of America, but I guess I can’t really argue.

Let’s take a step back. What exactly is a ranch-bassador?
It’s exactly what it sounds like. An ambassador for ranch. That’s it. Just someone who really, really loves ranch. Someone who isn’t afraid to really go to bat for the goopy substance. You’ll be trying ranch on any and all foods you find in your path as you eat your way through several European countries. Will the locals throw hands when they see you putting ranch on your fish and chips, pierogies, or Neapolitan pizza? Well, you’ll find out!
Okay, well what will the job all entail?
First thing’s first. This is an actual job. You’ll be paid for your time, all expenses will be covered, and you’ll be expected to actually work. That includes putting in the work to taste any foods you come across with a side of ranch and documenting the experience for all to see. Every stop, every bite, and every cultural crossover will be documented across social platforms. Fights included.
That won’t stop me. How do I sign up??
Hidden Valley Ranch has only started to put out the feelers as of now. The actual application for their ranch-bassador program open on March 31, according to their website. That means you’ve got time to reconsider or get your things in order. Because this is a social-focused position I have to imagine that influencers and the like will have a leg-up. At least I hope so, because I’ll also be throwing my hat in the ring, so good luck to us all out there.
