If you don’t live near a Swig soda but have always wanted to try one, that’s okay. You know what you do live by? A gas station. And a gas station is all you need to make their signature dirty soda-style beverages for yourself. (Unless you don’t live by a gas station. In which case, can you DM me the coordinates of your bunker? I’m in the market for a good bunker right about now, things are looking a little dire.)

Swig Soda mixes soda with different fruits, dairies, and syrups. Here’s how the experts recommend making a dupe at 7-Eleven, Buc-ee’s, Wawa, or any other chains with a fountain soda dispenser.
By experts, I do mean these two random young people on TikTok. What? What do you want from me, huh? The word “expert” has lost all credibility over the years. I’m just going with the flow of modern linguistics.
- Step 1) Fill that cup with crunchy nugget ice. Lots of it.
- Step 2) Pick your soda of choice from the dispenser. In the video, they use Dr Pepper with a little bit of Buc-ee’s Original Cola mixed in.
- Step 3) Add some Sweet & Creamy Coffee-Mate coffee creamer (or something comparable)
- Step 4) Add two pumps of vanilla syrup (or whichever syrup you prefer)
You get the gist. Stir that sucker up and enjoy a sugar high like you’ve probably never experienced before in your life. Like, actually be careful, please. A part of me regrets sharing this information as I’m sure it’s going to cause some damage.
Teacher Ariana, can you tell us the origins of dirty soda again?
No, children, I cannot. I already told you about it once this week, when I reported on Twizzler’s new dirty soda-inspired flavor. Once is enough. I cannot believe this is still a trend. I cannot believe the sheer number of dirty soda-flavored products that currently exist (“Dirty Dew” is a cute name, though. I’ll make a concession for that.) Mormons are really having a moment right now.
Pleeeeeeease?
Ugh. FINE. It’s basically soda with some kind of sweet creamer and citrus, typically. The OG dirty soda is made with Diet Coke, coconut syrup, and lime. That’s as far into as I’m getting—we have a whole article explaining this trend, if you’re really that curious!
