The hottest new thing in soda? It’s undeniably prebiotics, which are popping up everywhere thanks to the endlessly-popular beverage newcomers—and lately, it seems like every soda on store shelves is jumping on the trend with its own spin on these gut-friendlier sips. Even Pepsi released its own prebiotic-filled versions of OG Cola and Cherry Vanilla sodas. And now, the other iconic name in soda is getting in on the game, too.

That’s right: Coca-Cola is going to be launching its own prebiotic sodas. But, based on what we’ve spotted so far, they aren’t introducing an entirely new beverage. Instead, they’re revisiting the classics and infusing their beloved sodas with these trendy good-for-guts ingredients.

Coke, Sprite, and Fresca Are Getting a Dose of Prebiotics

Move over, Olipop and Poppi: According to image renders that recently found their way onto the internet, it looks like Coca-Cola will join the ranks of storied soda brands that have added prebiotics into the mix.

The images show three specific product concepts: Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar, and Fresca Grapefruit Citrus, each with 6 grams of soluble fiber per can. These sugar-free sodas will feature a dose of fiber to provide the same gut-friendly impact as competitors’ beverages, repackaging some of Coca-Cola’s most iconic drinks in a fresh new way.

And, based on the leaked renders, it looks like each soda will be offered in a 12-ounce slim can to differentiate the beverages from their non-fiber-filled counterparts (and plenty of other competitors in stores who rely on the classic soda can format, too).

As we mentioned above, Coca-Cola certainly won’t be the first legacy soda brand to jump on the trendy prebiotics train. Pepsi did so in 2025, introducing its gut-friendly sodas at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) show and launching them in February 2026.

When Will Coca-Cola’s Prebotic Sodas Go On Sale?

If you’re a Coca-Cola die-hard and have thus far refused to go over to the dark side and order a fiber-filled Pepsi product, you might finally have options. Unfortunately, though, we don’t yet have any official confirmation that these prebiotic Coca-Cola classics will hit store shelves any time soon.

No release information has been shared, but we do have a theory: Pepsi conducted the first public taste tests of its prebiotic sodas at NACS, so Coca-Cola just might do the same at the 2026 show this year. That could mean Coke’s own prebiotic sodas will be primed for release either in the fall of 2026 or at the start of 2027.
