Jack In The Box Is Coming For Starbucks With This New Release

When it comes to viral products, there’s plenty of competition among the fast food giants―but Starbucks is the reigning champ in the drink space. However, Jack in the Box just might knock this coffee spot down a few pegs.

The burger joint is introducing a brand-new menu item that’s already in high demand and it’s not another buzzy collab. Instead, it’s launching with a tongue-in-cheek product that takes aim directly at Starbucks’ trendiest item. You’re about to forget all about adorable Starbucks bears because Jack in the Box is introducing an adorable mascot of its very own… and yes, it’s in sipper form.

Introducing The Jack Sipper Cup

Jack in the Box just unveiled the newest addition to its menu (and no, it’s not a stacked burger) on Instagram, and it’s a surprise none of us expected. The Jack Sipper Cup, which launches on July 2nd, is an absolutely adorable cup styled after the restaurant’s very own mascot.

The Jack Sipper Cup looks like a spin off of Starbucks’ viral “Bearista” cup from last year, but the star of the show is Jack himself. However, there are similarities that are sure to make this piece of Jack in the Box merch a massive hit. It’s a clear glass cup that capitalizes on the details that made the Bearista so beloved: it features Jack’s famous smile, his iconic yellow hat in miniature form, and a striped red-and-white straw for easy sipping. 

And Jack in the Box isn’t shying away from the similarities. In the grand reveal on Instagram, the fast food brand directly called out Starbucks in its caption, saying, “Trade for trade?” and tagging the coffee chain. The Bearista is about to face some serious competition from this clown.

How To Get The New Jack in the Box Sipper Cup

The Jack Sipper Cup will launch at Jack in the Box locations on July 2nd. You’ll need to head to a Jack in the Box in person in order to purchase it.

It’s expected the launch will be limited, so be prepared for the Jack sipper cup to be in high demand. (I still haven’t forgotten the insanity―and scalpers―surrounding the Bearista’s launch myself!) The sipper will only be available while supplies last and we don’t yet know how readily available it will be. You’ll need to visit your local Jack in the Box restaurants to nab one of these cute clowns. 

It’s well worth the impending craze, though. I mean, who doesn’t love the idea of Jack’s clown face beaming back at you while you sip an ice-cold Coke? Sure, it’s no bear, but even if you aren’t the biggest Jack in the Box fan, this is a cup that’ll make you schedule a drive-thru stop immediately.
