This Jerky Is Trying To Make Your Gains Even More Affordable

Protein continues to get more expensive, and finding solutions to this fact hasn’t been easy for food companies. While some people are pivoting to alternative sources (like goat whey protein), the fact of the matter is that a lot of people just don’t want to do that – and so, they get stuck in a dance of paying more for the same prices, looking around for different options, finding nothing more affordable that also suits them taste-wise, and ultimately sucking it up and putting the extra cash down. I’ve done it myself many times. I’m sure I will in the future.

So when a brand like Jack Link’s comes along promising a classic product at a more accessible price point, it might be worth listening to. It’s got two new additions to its line-up, which we shall be discussing…right now.

Jack Link’s Grass-Fed & Finished Beef Stick Multipacks

First up is its new Grass-Fed & Finished Beef Stick Multipacks, which come in a 10-count. The pitch here from Jack Link’s is that these new multipacks keep the protein abundant (well, as abundant as it’ll be in a single beef stick) and the cost low: The brand says in its press release that each 0.92-ounce beef stick has 8 grams of protein, “the same protein-to-ounce ratio as competitors, at a much more accessible price.” (And yes, I know that a beef stick isn’t technically jerky – but if you squint hard enough…)

Jack Link’s Grass-Fed & Finished Beef Sticks will come in Original, Teriyaki and Jalapeño, and they’ll be available at major retailers. On the Walmart website, its Original flavor is currently listed at $10.48 per 10-count bag, or $18.24 per pound. Mosey on over to Walmart’s own Great Value Original Beef Sticks, and you will see that they cost $11.77, or $18.68 per pound, for the same protein. That’s for a value-focused private label product, too. Jack Link’s is being true to its word there; we respect it!

LiL’ Links Mini Stick Multipacks

Also being added to its lineup are its new kid-focused LiL’ Links Mini Stick Multipacks. These smaller sticks have 5 to 6 grams of protein per serving, with zero sugar – and Jack Link’s again says that they’re priced more accessibly than its competitors. These sticks also have no added MSG and no nitrates or nitrites. 

More protein for all the family, we guess! These new beef stick options won’t solve rising protein costs, but you can probably do worse. They’re available now.
