Some food trends reeeeaaally have a habit of sticking around, don’t they? Case in point: Dubai chocolate. We were discussing Dubai chocolate back in the first half of 2025, and at this point it feels like it’s well and truly done – but here we are, nearing fall 2026, and in a zombie-like way, it’s STILL GOING. Walmart just dropped a new Dubai-style chocolate spread. Pinkberry has released a Dubai chocolate froyo. And Monster is taking this trend all the way to the end of the year.

In case you hadn’t guessed by this point…we’re getting a Dubai chocolate Monster drink. And you know what? Maybe we can get down with this flavor one more time. Let’s discuss.

Dubai Chocolate Java Monster

A new Dubai Chocolate Java Monster is slated for release around October. This drink has actually been teased for a minute now, with news of the new flavor popping up way back in June – but now that we’re nearing its actual drop, it’s time to dig into what’s in store. A new addition to Monster’s Java line, this non-carbonated drink will combine coffee flavors with chocolate, pistachio, and (we would imagine) creamy notes. Will we get a pastry-esque hint of kataifi in there, too? We know we won’t get any crunch, but if they can make that happen, it’ll be a feat of flavor engineering for the ages.

Dubai Chocolate Java Monster will drop at the same time as Monster’s new Flavor Shot drinks, both of which are vanilla-flavored (with a regular and a zero-sugar version). You can expect to find them wherever Monster Energy is sold, in 16 oz. cans.

High Hopes

Now, we’re all well aware that Dubai chocolate has had its heyday – but we can potentially consider Monster’s entry into the Dubai chocolate flavor world as one that might stick the landing at this later stage. As commenters pointed out in @sodaseekers’ post about the flavors in June, Monster has previous experience with chocolate beverages (its Swiss Chocolate flavor remains a much-missed fan favorite), and its Java Monster drinks generally stick the landing. Plus, this kind of innovation in the Java Monster line is in itself pretty exciting (and the wise decision to not try and carbonate pistachio flavors leaves me nodding in approval).

So we might be in for a treat here, people, but only time will tell. Keep an eye out once fall hits, and give Dubai chocolate one last spin, for old time’s sake.
