I adore fall. I wait for it all year. In fact, I wish fall was the only season! Since it’s not, I must suffer through the other seasons. But once August rolls around, I start prepping. I slowly start to incorporate Halloween decorations into my home decor. I take the long sleeve shirts out of storage.
Last, but not least, I start consuming my favorite fall foods. And the dish that instantly gets me in the mood for fall is chicken pot pie. I don’t care if it’s 90 degrees outside and I just got home from the beach. Once I pop a frozen chicken pot pie into the oven, it instantly feels like the best time of year.
And when it comes to frozen chicken pot pie, I don’t just turn to any frozen pot pie. I buy Marie Calendar’s frozen pot pies. Two of Marie’s frozen chicken pot pies ranked in our best frozen chicken pot pie taste test because they are truly some of the best frozen chicken pot pies you can buy. I would even argue that they’re some of the best frozen foods in general.
The crust is flaky. The sauce (or would you call it gravy?) is goopy and salty. The chunks of chicken are big. The veggies are plentiful. It’s so incredibly filling. Plus, there are tons of flavors of frozen chicken pot pie! The original isn’t even my favorite.
Cheesy chicken and bacon, with its smoky, cheese flavor, is delicious, but chicken corn chowder really takes the…pot pie. There’s tons of corn and the filling is delightfully peppery.
The next time you’re craving fall, reach for one of the flavors Marie Calendar’s frozen chicken pot pies. You’ll feel satiated, comforted, and, most importantly, ready for fall.
