Masters Of The Universe Doughnuts Are Now At Krispy Kreme

IIIII HAAAAVE THE POWERRRR! To eat doughnuts! That little adapted battle cry is what we would imagine that executives at Krispy Kreme hope its customers will be yelling in the next couple of days (although not too loudly in the store, guys, that’ll just be annoying). The doughnut chain has just announced that, in honor of the upcoming release of Masters of the Universe, it’s bringing out a new collection of bakes – and we’re getting a sugar rush just from looking at them.

Krispy Kreme x Mattel x Amazon MGM Studios – The Trio We Never Saw Coming

Krispy Kreme’s new Masters of the Universe Collection was created in collaboration with Mattel, which created the He-Man franchise and produced the movie, and Amazon MGM (which also produced it and is distributing the film). The doughnut shop is really leaning into the parlance of the superhero world with this release. “Bringing together the power of the universe and the power of the dozen creates an experience worthy of Eternia,” said Krispy Kreme’s chief brand and product officer, Alison Holder, in its press release. “Inspired by He-Man’s legendary spirit, these doughnuts are here to defend doughnut deliciousness with bold flavors and heroic fun in every bite. We’re excited for fans and doughnut lovers to rise to the occasion. Heroes act fast, and so should you.”

Well, we don’t need telling twice! As for what these donuts actually are, we’ve got:

He-Man Caramel Crunch Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dunked in red caramel icing, topped with a hefty swirl of cheesecake-flavored buttercream, graham-flavored crumbles, and a He-Man image.
Skeletor Double Chocolate Doughnut: Krispy Kreme is calling this one a “wickedly delicious” unglazed shell doughnut, which has chocolate custard piped in, is dipped in chocolate icing, adorned with chocolate cookie crumbles, and finished with a Skeletor piece.
Cringer Claw Cookie Dough Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut once again here, “dipped and drizzled with cookie dough icing.” Double the fun.

And When Can I Get Them?

You can get them now. Right now! The Masters of the Universe Collection dropped yesterday, May 26, and will be available through June 14. This one’s the second collab we’ve covered at Krispy Kreme in just six weeks: It recently released a SpongeBob collaboration in its stores in the Philippines. Makes you wonder when we’re gonna get the on-screen adaptation of the Krispy Kreme origin story. (It doesn’t? Just me? Oh.)
