Let’s talk about compound butter. In my opinion, it’s one of the most underrated ways to make a meal, a sandwich, a cracker, anything, so much better – and at home, it’s such an underutilized resource. That’s largely because compound butter is the kind of thing that most people don’t think to make, and most people, to be honest, don’t really want to make in the middle of a busy working week. If you have the time, sure. If not, regular butter’s just fine.

So, that’s why the return of Land O’Lakes flavored butter spread, which first showed up a couple of years back, is very welcome. And it’s got a familiar flavor. Shall we discuss? Oh, we shall discuss.
Land O’Lakes Every Little Thing Butter Spread
The dairy brand has just brought its Every Little Thing Butter Spread back to stores – and specifically, to Kroger, where it’s an exclusive – after a lengthy absence…and to be honest, it wasn’t really around that long to begin with. As @candyhunting states over on Instagram, this spread first dropped in 2023 as an Aldi exclusive, but it was only available for a brief two weeks. Then, it packed its bags and walked off into the sunset, apparently disappearing forever – before returning, Tom Hanks in Castaway-style, years down the line.
It’s worth pointing out that, as its name suggests, this isn’t strictly a butter. The listing for the product on the Land O’Lakes website indicates that it has canola oil in it, as well as cornstarch and guar gum, which act as thickeners and binders. But it also has dried onion, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and salt, for that everything bagel flavor. Interestingly, sesame isn’t listed as an ingredient or an allergen, so it seems like Land O’Lakes is going for a more allergy-friendly product here (as you’d expect, though, it has milk in it). This is a limited batch item, so we’d advise you get it now if you wanna try it.
Everything Bagel Everything
Everything bagel flavor never really went away, but we’ve seen a little spurt of a revival in the last couple of months. Between this and the Everything Bagel Cookie Sandwich from Crumbl, there’s been a touch of revived interest in its combo of saltiness, nuttiness, and garlicky-ness. That said, Trader Joe’s did just discontinue its Everything But The Bagel cheddar cheese… but we guess you win some, you lose some.
