Is the Lindt advent calendar the best chocolate advent calendar at the grocery store? One day, after I finally make my way through the lot of them, I may be able to definitively answer that question. But today, I’m here to review the Lindt Teddy Bear Advent Calendar and find out if it’s even in the running, and whether it’s worthy of your $16.99. Check out my full review and then keep scrolling if you want a full day-by-day spoiler of this Lindt advent calendar.

Lindt Avent Calendar!

Lindt Holiday Chocolate Teddy Bear Advent Calendar

Pros: Advent calendars have gotten really expensive and elaborate. Does your child really need a $75 Harry Potter Lego advent calendar? It’s refreshing to see a quality advent calendar offering tasty treats for less than $20. The chocolate in this Lindt advent calendar is good because it’s Lindt chocolate and Lindt chocolate is good. You get a decent enough variety of Lindt chocolate treats. And the box design is cute. Plus, the cardboard quality is actually pretty sturdy. I’ve ripped enough advent calendar doors off to know the difference.

Cons: You do have to like chocolate to like this advent calendar. That should be obvious. But I mean you really have to like chocolate—milk chocolate, specifically—to like this advent calendar. While there’s a good variety of types of milk chocolate with some hazelnut and white chocolate thrown in for good measure, it’s still mostly milk chocolate.

Verdict: Is the Lindt Teddy Advent Calendar worth $16.99? Lindt chocolate is high quality chocolate and generally not cheap. So, I think getting all of the chocolate you get in this calendar for under $20 is actually pretty good. If you have a chocolate-loving kiddo or you are a chocolate-loving grown-o, this is a good buy.

About the Author

Justine Sterling

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
