Long John Silver’s Limited Summer Menu Is Nostalgic In The Best Way

In a summer twist that we just love, Long John Silver’s is offering some some tasty new menu items just in time for summer! (Unless you’re Starbucks and trying to get to fall with an early pumpkin spice drop…) Long John Silver’s has long been known for their fried seafood offerings and tempting specials and this drop is no exception.

Meredith Smith, director of brand marketing at Long John Silver’s, says of the new line “To us, summer is all about providing great flavors and refreshing treats―making the most of the season.” You can’t beat the logic there. What’s summer without something refreshing and tasty?

What’s New on the Menu?

There are four main parts to this announcement. They really packed a lot into one menu update.  

First is the return of a fan favorite, coconut shrimp. Battered with shredded coconut and fried, this shrimp is toasty and succulent. It will make you feel like you’re on the beach (minus the cocktail). This (or any dippable thing) can be paired with their new limited citrus honey mustard dipping sauce. 

Next we’ve got the addition of $6 basket options. You can choose from shrimp & fish, chicken, or chicken & shrimp. These baskets are there to add great value to the menu to fit into busy lives. They all also pair perfectly with that zingy new citrus honey mustard. 

Next isn’t a food addition, it’s some new drink offerings. Long John’s is now offering Summer Cream Sodas for a fun, new twist on the dirty soda trend. This is a soda topped with a sweet coconut cream. This isn’t your average dirty soda―this is next level. That hint of coconut is going to give the whole drink a nice tropical feel and every sip will be a mini vacation for your mouth. The Summer Cream Soda is available as an add-on to any of their fountain drinks, so you can try them all and see which is your favorite. 

The Cheesecake Factory Collab

Finally, Long John’s is taking you back to hot summer breaks playing with your friends in the park or backyard. What’s the perfect thing for a hot summer day? A cold treat, of course! And there’s few things more iconic than a creamsicle. Long John’s has made the creamsicle even better by working with Cheesecake Factory to make the Cheesecake Factory Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake. 

This cheesecake is a decadent swirl of sweet cream cheesecake mix and orange cream cheesecake mix on top of a vanilla cookie crumb crust. It’s topped with a layer of orange cream, pretty whipped cream rosettes, and finished with a sprinkle of white chocolate shavings. We think this dessert is shaping up to be a big favorite.
