If you are someone who has always wanted a fun cereal that is both low carb and low sugar, you probably gave up on that search years ago. It used to be that every cereal that looked even remotely fun had so much sugar it could power a sugar-fueled compact car (also known as a small child) for at least ten hours. Where were the fun adult cereals?! Then Magic Spoon, the zero-sugar, grain-free, low-carb, high-protein cereal, showed up in our Instagram feeds. While this unicorn of a cereal has been on the market since 2019, it was only available via the brand’s website until 2022—and now it’s making further strides into the cereal big leagues. That is to say, Magic Spoon cereal will now be available in Albertsons, Kroger, and Walmart.
What is Magic Spoon cereal and why is Magic Spoon now suddenly apparating into big-time grocery stores like Kroger?
Well, this isn’t Magic Spoon’s first grocery rodeo. (Grocery Rodeo sounds like a Food Network show hosted by Guy Fieri where contestants have to buy a bunch of food to make a meal, but, here’s the catch, they can only cook their meal with whatever food they were able to hold on to while on the back of a mechanical bull. Call me, Food Network, there’s more where that came from.) Anyway, what I’m sayin’ is that Magic Spoon has been in Target since last June and Whole Foods since September, so clearly their foray into traditional retail is going well.
You will now be able to find the high-protein, keto-friendly, sugar-free, gluten-free cereal in your local store in its best-selling flavors—Fruity, Frosted, Cinnamon, and Cocoa. And if you are wondering which to try, don’t worry, we gotchu. (Spoiler alert: It’s Fruity, get the Fruity).
